  1. Hello. I'm still trying to work out the mechanics/logic of Affinity Suite. I'm creating a poster in Affinity Photo, and I want to do a bit more with my text. I'm also moving from PC to Mac and for the life of me I cannot get the pen/node tools to do what they're supposed to with text. Also, I want to add shape to text rather than just have the letters climbing up whatever lines or shape tool I add the text to. I'm horrible at wording literally anything, so I hope you can understand my question.
  2. UPDATE: So I cracked the code! The computer does not understand that an 8.5x11 booklet will be folded in half. It expected the booklet to remain at 8.5x11 much like a finished poster would or maybe the way a magazine would maintain a larger format. Instead, you have to set up your project with the dimensions of the folded book which for me was 5.5x8.5. Thanks to everyone for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated! *** I have a commission for a church function on Sunday, I bout Affinity Publisher specifically for this since I've been using both Photo and Designer with no issues and perfect printing. The bonus for Affinity Publisher for me was the ability to set document type to booklet in the print menu. Unfortunately, booklet printing does not work. My booklet is supposed to be 8.5x11, however, when set to scale (100%) the document is too large. When I change it to "fit to printable" or "shrink to printable", the document does not print to the edge of the page. I've tried exporting a pdf but I'm still unable to print because the cover and back pages translate as separate pages rather than exporting the way the center pages are. I'm so disappointed! And extremely stressed out because I have no idea how I'll get these programs done on time.
  3. As it stands now, booklet printing is available, but it will not print correctly on Mac. I've been trying to do 8.5x11 booklets for a church function and it's really ugly because when set to scale (100%) it's too big for the page, and when set to "fit to printable" it is much too small. I'm stressed and disappointed.
  4. I have the same issue of the document layout being too big or lined up incorrectly when printing a booklet
  5. Hi, I wanted to make a suggestion. In Affinity Photo there's the option to flatten layers and the entire image. If this feature was a thing in Affinity Designer (the option where it completely merges the layers that you no longer want to adjust, or that you want to group into one single layer), it would make drawing and coloring so much easier--especially for those (like me) who are new to the program or switching over from Adobe.
