How I use Separated Mode on a Mac
Visual Foundry replied to PaoloT's topic in Feedback for the Affinity V2 Suite of Products
The lack of Separated Mode is a real deal breaker for me... It was a real issue not having the window edges fit to the document when zooming in Separated Mode with V1 and I made a lot of noise about it... Easy solution, get rid of separated mode! Glad that I chose the trial instead of paying for the upgrade [downgrade]! -
Ron P. reacted to a post in a topic: Window bounds fit to window when zooming?
-
Hi Ron and thanks for that... The zoom to Fit and the Fit to Width are not quite what I was getting at. When zooming in and out, it's important to my workflow that the document edge automatically fits tight to the document. I think that if Serif want people to make the switch then some of these features (like Cascade, Tile and window bounds fitting the document) would need to be implemented. Otherwise for the workflow that I'm talking about, it is just a mess of sizing windows and window shuffling. And re: the Windows menu/Float All... I am on Mac as Walt pointed out there is a difference. Thanks again, Richard

Splash screen remains after Photo has started...
Visual Foundry replied to Visual Foundry's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
Hi SPaceBar, it is still happening and I have just updated to 1.10.1. Attached is a screen capture showing the issue. Thank you AP Splash Screen.mp4 -
Hi, when if ever will the window bounds fit to the document when zooming? This is now the main reason I can't switch to Affinity Photo as it does not work with my workflow. Often I work with many documents open and the manual window sizing is doing my head in and is unworkable for me. Another feature that is also very important in my workflow is the ability to Cascade and Tile open documents. Both of these issues slow down mu workflow to about half that of when working in Photoshop. Maybe I'm missing something but I've had a good look around in version 1.10 and can't find anything related to these lack of features. Please consider implementing these so I can get to work with your otherwise fantastic app. Thank you, Richard

Are there any plans to add tethering feature to Affinity Photo? Phase One is ripping us off completely with Capture One upgrade prices. They need some serious competition to help them keep it real and if anyone could do it it would be you guys and girls.

Window Zoom
Visual Foundry replied to Visual Foundry's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
That's great, thank you for your reply... This is a big one for me as I often work with multiple documents in their own window and it just becomes a mess. Photoshops window arranging commands (Window / Arrange) {Attached} I think are essential for this type of workflow. If I am matching a bunch of files I will often tile them on the screen to compare and then cascade to have them all neat and orderly. Thanks again.- 4 replies

Hi, does anyone know how to make the document window frame in Photo match the zoom as it does in Photoshop. I've looked around for the setting but can't find it. Attached are screen grabs of the same file in Photo and Photoshop. Thank you for any help you can give...
