    Thanks for the advice on that, A_B_C. I will try a partition (for a couple of reasons now!). MattP, I tried to launch Affinity under a new Admin user and the same thing happened. Very strange indeed. Thank you both (and MEB) for all your help! I will let you know if I get anywhere with a new partition. Best, Christopher B

    Hi MattP, Thanks for trying to figure this out. My iMac is mid-2011, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB, running OSX 10.9.5 (13F1911). I will seek a refund unless any of this data helps you. Again thanks, Christopher B

    Hi MEB, Thanks for passing it to the dev team. Yes it did crash under the new user account and that is where I was able to obtain the crash report. Otherwise, no crash report popped up under my usual account. Thanks again!

    Hi A_B_C and MEB and others. I have tried to get a refund from Apple but they do not refund software downloads. But that is not my first choice option, as I would really like to be able to use Affinity. It sounds amazing. Has there been any progress in determining why Affinity having trouble opening on my Mac? See above thread and crash report, etc. Thank you so much for your help!

    Thanks for that clarification A_B_C. I did as you suggested and found out some more information (in the attached screenshot). I use OS 10.9.5 because of a Logic 9 program that I continue to use. Perhaps I won't be able to use Affinity in this system. Any more advice? Thanks again!

    Hi MEB, I'm not sure I know what you mean. Do I need to be logged in to my Affinity account in order to use the application? In other words, how do I run Affinity from an account? I've just opened up the app like I would any other to use it on my Mac. Thanks so much for your help. Chris

    I don't have one and am reading on this forum that Affinity mainly uses CPU. I use other graphics applications on my Mac, including Photoshop. Affinity won't even launch. If you can't resolve the issue, can you refund my purchase? Thanks for your help.

    Chris UPDATE: I have now added my computer 'christopherb' to the sharing and permissions list and enable read and write. But it still won't open. And when I press control and click on the app, it only provides a list with the option to OPEN at the top. Nothing prompts me with an option to click Clear. Thanks again for your help.
