+1 for the feature to reset without altering the shape

Often times after editing a vector shape, rotating, etc, the bounding box gets all wonky... it would be great to be able to "reset" the bounding box to a level rectangle, as if the shape were newly drawn from scratch and that the default bounding box was never messed with...

Hi I'm Alex, graphic designer at professional level (don't we all?) since 1996...
I love Affinity, I was tired of Adobe and Corel... They were good but are old, real old.

Personal considerations as for both Designer & Photo: Overprint Preview and SPOT Channel (in Photo also if possible) is a must to get read of Adobe completely because I did keep the Adobe Acrobat Pro for color separations prev.

Everything else are good to have but those two main will introduce you to the pre-press desks.
I know this is hard work but you may consider to have a PostScript type file as your own because I don't think Adobe will ever add the genial Erase layer state into PDF and much more and wee'l have to adjust those.
    Sorry for my English
    Good job you all!

I also agree to the demand for indesign compability, or else its more or less a hopeless switch for designers.

    :) Good meeting.
Yes, and color screened over the grayscale works too. Whatever you prefer.

(oh, and, Spot Channels are on the AP roadmap.... so hopefully soon)

I know this is a feature hard to implement, but i have to ask for it.

I compose some magazines with 2 Spot inks, usually Black & any Pantone ink. I don't like to use that method, but some customers seems to like it and it's cheapper to print (in offset press) than full CMYK. So, i have tu use that feature. It's the only feature i miss, both in Photo and Designer; so, i have to use Adobe Photoshop. So, this is the workflow in Adobe CC suite, and i it will be nice to have it in Affinity apps...

    Bitmap:

    - First, create a 8bit gray image
    - Change format to Multichannel (you are not allowed if you don't change first to Gray)
    - Add many channels as you need
    - Change Spot color of each channel

This is not just Duotone/Tritone, etc... Is full channel working. You are allowed to paint any part of the channel, not just all the channel as a whole image. In those examples, i just coppied Cian or Magenta channels of the orinial image, then coppied directly to Spot Channel.

Image must be saved in .eps DCS 2.0 format. It's the same format as duotones, but you are allowed to edit channels directly (duotones are curve variations of the same 8bit gray channel).

    Compositing (Indesign):

    - Import your DCS 2.0 image. The spot inks of the image are auto. incorporated to document swatches.
    - Then, yo can create mixed inks, with % of each spot ink yo wish. You can also add gradients based on those mixed inks.

    Thanks

I totally support this. Multichannel (duotone) and spot color would make this great programme even better. And it would be a big step into professional use.

Thank you so much! This is better than nothing, but the filter would be 100% useful addition to this wonderful program!

What sort of improvements are being made for the vector crop tool? I'm hoping it would be possible to treat the cropping box like a shape, with the ability to change it's rotation, shape, curve, etc...

ad 1 - Thanks for tip with Pantone, didnt realize it.
ad 2 - Well, without overprints visible, there is no use for prepress for designer :-( Checking everything again in acrobat is not acceptable for our workflow. I will buy one copy for playing around and hope it will grow into some real replacement for Illustrator/Corel.

I made a very nice discovery.
Createspace every time flagged me abou transparency when I submitted my book covers as a complete, ready to print, pdf image.
Then I made the discovery that when you export to pdf, the pdf is also keeping everything in layers.
    Very interesting.

    Hey guys,

the following features would be nice to use the AD in professional prepress as we want to do.
    - overprint preview e.g. for checking your traps...
    - for manual trapping as we do it would be great to give only defined elements or a contour of an element the attribute "overprinting", not the complete spot color.
    - the best thing on earth but a dream i think...automated trapping. Would kiss your hands for something like that.

if you guys need further information hit me up!

    Thanks a lot!
