I can see that.
But, the reason for my confusion is that we've had many updates to the product, and not had a beta version since the full product was released.

Affinity Designer already exists as a programme/app.

I am lead to believe that at some stage a Feathering Tool existed in Affinity Designer.
 
Is there any chance the Feathering Tool could be re-instated?
 
I do see that we have the 'Gaussian Blur' tool, but, that's not the same thing.

The damn Pen Tool.
It's because of the Pen Tool, that I've never managed to create anything in Illustrator.
 
The Shape Tool in Xara is my best friend. I can draw anything and everything with it.
 
Strange as it sounds, I can use the Pen Tool in Affinity.
I've already done a drawing and posted it on this Forum.
 
Now, I can't compare how the Affinity Pen Tool differs from Illustrator's?
It may not differ at all?
All I know is, that I got on with it, almost immediately.

I saw you draw a red shape, apply Gaussian blur, then after that you cut the shape.
 
Then it's magic.
I call it magic, because magic is a word we use when we don't understand how something is done!

It will always be a matter of personal opinion.
 
I like the current icons.
And if Affinity are thinking of changing them, then please have the current ones available also.
So, the user can choose which they would like to display.
 
That way, everyone (well, almost everyone) can be happy.
