Edit: However, given some of your complaints, if you haven't been participating in the beta program perhaps you should be. That lets you help with quality, and educates you about forthcoming functions and how they might affect your workflow if you update. If there are changes that you know your team won't appreciate, you can avoid updating.

I have two questions about that:

    1) how one takes part of the beta program?

    2) any idea of when the bugs in 1.8 (boolean, expand stroke) will be solved?

These issues are being looked at as we speak. My apologies for the inconvenience this is causing you. We are doing our best to fix them as soon as we can. Thanks for understanding.

Is there any way to "downgrade" temporarily to 1.7 while these issues are solved?

I see the Caballistic tree of life, the pine cone (reference to the pineal gland) and the all seeing eye or perhaps third eye in a symmetrically balanced spread of rays. It shows Affinity Designer is well suited to drawing accurately. Nicely done.

    Thanks, buddy!

You're right: there's the Tree of Life and the all seeing eye. However, the pine cone is a lotus flower. Sahashara - the crown chakra.

Those rays (cogs, actually) are where Affinity Designer really shines (no pun intended). I'm using them a lot, it's a wonder feature for sure.

    Welcome to the forums.
    This is really nice work.
Lots of detail and a nicely-chosen colour that fits well with the subject.
I’ve been looking at it for a while trying to figure out how I would try and make something similar, so it’s inspirational too.
Also makes me wonder what the other side looks like – of the card, not metaphysically.
    Looking forward to seeing more.

Hi! Glad you liked it. :)

Well, that "maze" in the background wasn't created on AD. It was Processing (which is really worth checking out, by the way).
