Luzon reacted to StuartRc in Infected & Comic Book Toolkit
Infected
This is my first drawing using Affinity Designer 2.0 (A revamped version of the colourful Lena which I have not uploaded!)
It is really a test of the updates made to the Brush Dynamics in Affinity 2.0
Created a new set of inking brushes that makes use of interpolation and the new Distance options with the brush dynamics. I have found that the brushes are much smoother, faster and more responsive..I really like the ability of 'Distance' to allow for the tapering of the nozzle. Even though you have to adjust the direction of the graph!

Luzon reacted to retrograde in Retro Lambretta Vintage travel art
Hello fellow Affinity aficionados, in continuing my scooter series for Redbubble, here is my second retro styled scooter/travel poster. This time a Lambretta featuring a young couple scootering about Paris in the fall.
All done in Designer 1.6
Check it out on my Redbubble site as well.

Luzon reacted to mcrow in Complete Noob Card Game Design
I have never used any sort of graphic design software of any sort outside of paint once in a while. Working on building a prototype for a game and this is my first creation. I realize I'm not good at this yet but feels good to just create something and it's a good learning exercise. Any tips or suggestions on improving the design are welcome.

Luzon reacted to Alfred in InDesign alternative???
Amazon's eBook management tool is KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing), is it not? Anyway, on these forums 'APub' or 'APu' refers to the forthcoming Publisher app for the Affinity suite.

Luzon reacted to Lon in MacArkansas in The Lurker's Logo
Long registered here, but one of my first few post. Finally downloaded the trial version, and I'm loving AD a whole lot...and, not the AD my ex-wife said I had, either.
I decided to just play, and start with a logo, using flat colors, until I get a better handle on gradients. I'm a long-time user of Draw-Plus, but AD just makes things so much easier....so many more possibilities.

Luzon reacted to MEB in Typing on a path (circle)
Hi Luzon,
Welcome to Affinity Forums
Select the circle, then go to menu Layer ▹ Convert to text path. This will place the text controls exactly on the each side of the circle (the orange triangles). Type the text (for the upper part of the circle) and center it using the text alignment buttons on the context toolbar. Then press Enter to start typing the text for the bottom part of the circle. Use the Baseline controls on the context toolbar to adjust the bottom text position (offset) in relation to the path.

Luzon got a reaction from SrPx in Introduce Yourself
Hi all. I JUST bought Designer... I originally bought the Plus suite but migrated to Adobe 6 and then CC after I couldn't find many tutorials back in the day. I was brand new at designing then and really needed some video help.
Fast forward to now, after subscribing to CC for about 4 years now, and reducing my scope of design projects, I thought it was time to look at alternatives. I'm happy to learn about Designer... So, just pulled the trigger and now am anxious to convert my designs to be usable in Designer.
I make and sell custom stamps, as in address stamps, and have an Etsy store. I'm planning to add more listings there and also to start on so other similar projects, so, I'm anxious to start going through the program.
Hi from Saint Paul, Minnesota!
