  1. I'm using the context toolbar but can't find a way to change the gradient angle. It's either left right or reversed right left (plus other shapes) but no obvious way for it to go top bottom or bottom top. The Gradient Tool itself gives me control. The Context toolbar does not. I'm surely missing something but I don't see any control over start and end points.
  2. Please look at the tutorials. There's one specifically on that.
  3. Gradient Fill Text top to bottom? - Affinity Photo Add text layer and type and select text. Select Fill from the context tool bar and select Gradient. There does not seem to be a way to have Gradient go from top to bottom or bottom to type with Context tool bar. BTW I know Effects > Gradient Overlay has Angle when you open up expanded options with the Gear but I'd think it would be possible using Fill and then Gradient in the Context menu.
  4. Affinity Designer is also discounted 20% price viable to 23 July at least that's the case here in the States.
  5. I really do think it would help to have separate forums for separate products. That might present a challenge for posts regarding interoperability but perhaps such threads can be linked.
  6. Noting that I've experienced the inability to constrain the crop as well when resizing. I was using 6x4 as well. in Develop Persona. I noted that when I used Original Size it remained constrained when resizing with the corner. One might expect that holding Shift while resizing from a corner but that did not work when using 6x4. Additionally perhaps a "lock" icon could lock the aspect ratio.
  7. Guides in the Develop Persona - Affinity Photo They would be most helpful when using such things as Lens Correction for example. Aligning horizons or with any horizontal or vertical object would be an example use.
  8. Thanks for the tips. Badly needed feature for lens correction I'd think, especially if it's to be done in the Develop Persona. This is not something I want to do by eyeballing.
  9. I'd like to use Guides for Lens Correction in Develop Persona in Affinity Photo How can I Enable Guides in Develop Persona? I enable View>Show Rulers and then View>Show Guides. There is no Move Tool to drag a Guide out. There is no View>Guides Manager.
  10. How to increase Grid line thickness - Affinity Photo The Grid lines are too thin for me. In Develop Persona I Show Grid and the open Grid and Axis Manager but I don't see a way to increase Grid line thickness. Can this be done and how?
  11. Affinity Photo only has entire image/document based cropping. It needs to have image/layer based cropping. While one can use selection/deletion (which is destructive) or masking (which can be awkward), I think a simple straight line crop tool (like the document crop) and a bezier and b-spline crop tool with handles/point control would be good. I'd like to see two features in that regard (time to suggest them in the Feature Request forum): • There should be a Non Destructive Crop • It should have handles/points (much as the crop tool does). That can work for both "straight lines" or on bezier and b-spline curves. * Ideally it should have x, y coordinate point readout which might help in some cases.
  12. Currently I think the key problem with Selection/Deletion with Object/Layer is that it's destructive. Of course things that are masked can be revealed again by removing the masks though. I'd like to see two features in that regard (time to suggest them in the Feature Request forum): • There should be a Non Destructive Crop • It should have handles/points (much as the crop tool does). That can work for both "straight lines" or on bezier and b-spline curves. * Ideally it should have x, y point readout which might help in some cases.
  13. How to crop an image on a selected layer - Affinity Photo v1.3.4? It seems the Crop Tool is a global function. How would I accurately crop an image in a selected layer?
