Guess there's a few options which achieves a similar result depending on use case:
 
Select all the objects in your doc (layers tab - choose "Edit all layers" then hit cmd-A) and group them (cmd-G), then you'll be able to crop.  Puts all your stuff in a group which might not be desirable. Save your doc, then start a new one and embed your saved doc in it (File -> Place).  You'll then be able to crop that as if it were an image (can always double click on it if you want to edit the doc itself). if it's just because you want to export a smaller part of the doc as an image - go to the export persona and create a slice of the area you want to export and do it that way...
