  1. Yes - this was noted. We'll have a look at this for 2.3
  2. @ronnyb agreed - we’ll change that. Obviously has to come with caution if you select 1,000 objects and then duplicate say 1,000 copies you’re gonna hit performance issues, but should be left to user I agree.
  3. Yes it's all down to the size of the original object. If your star is 5mm x 5mm and your step distance for copies is 5mm that will look very different to if your star is 100mm and your step distance is 5mm.
  4. I think inevitably as a developer we do have to rely on operating system accessibility features for those with certain disabilities - including voice commands, on screen keyboards (which can be controlled with a mouse or other pointer device) and other accessibility features available.
  5. Thanks @Hangman but that initial preview of the line flipping 90 degrees looks like a bug!
  6. Hi All, A new beta build is rolling out now - version number 2.2.0.1954 - which will be available to you on auto update within the next hour. We consider this build feature complete in terms of 2.2 release, with future beta builds now only including bug fixes or very minor tweaks. Main changes in this build are: Move data entry now includes rotation option. In object creation tools where Enter previously invoked the create dialog, this now always invokes the Move dialog. So for example in a shape tool, Enter now brings up the Move dialog. cmd / ctrl + click is what needs to be used to invoke shape data entry. We have added new default shortcuts in both the Photo and Pixel personas for fill with primary / secondary colour. We've added that to the Brush shortcuts feature description. Fill with primary colour: Alt + backspace Fill with secondary colour: cmd/Ctrl + backspace "Fit to curve delete node" option now added to the right click node menu (i.e. the same result as Alt-Delete) PDF password feature now removed Alt modifier to get hand in text tool now removed This build also includes many fixes. Thanks, Ash
  7. We have now added this as an additional menu option ("Fit to curve delete") in the right click menu in the latest build.
  8. An update to the beta has just been made live (Build: 1954). The main changes included in this update are listed in this post.
  9. Hi All - just wanted to point out a change in functionality. We have now removed the "Press Enter / Return" to create from these tools. As both reported on here and from our internal and other testing feedback, you could too often create a shape, etc. when you actually expected to invoke the new Move / Duplicate dialog. For that reason in these other tools now Enter / Return will bring up the move dialog. To get to Object data entry dialog is just through Cmd/Ctrl + Click.
  10. While not actually specific to being in a brush tool, just wanted to point out the latest beta build includes the new shortcuts for filling current pixel layer with primary / secondary colour when in Pixel or Photo persona.
  11. Hi All - we have just released another build which includes the requested rotation option. We have also added a check box where you can specify if you want the move dialog to remember the last settings or not.
  12. Yep that's what I said - marquee selections will likely come in a future update (i.e. after 2.2) along with text frame, table tool and possibly others.
  13. For now we are wanting to keep this new move feature consistent between all apps, and obviously Symbols only available in Designer / Designer Persona. We have now added "Create Symbol" to Layer menu in Designer, so easy enough to set up a shortcut for that (e.g. cmd-K) and then you could just hit cmd-K before doing the move / duplicate operation to achieve the same thing.
  14. Yes we will run with the scope of tools we have now for 2.2, but indeed there are other tools we plan to add to including text frames, table tool, possibility pixel marquee selections, etc. Tables and text frames could have additional parameters such as rows, columns, gutter, etc. These will hopefully come in 2.3 cycle.
  15. Yes this is by design currently - it will remember the last settings you had, with a view that there are instances where you do indeed what to do the same operation to another object or selection. The reset button is there to quickly clear any previous settings if you wish.
  16. Thanks - yes we have had similar thoughts and we might look at that for 2.3 (particularly when we look to implement on iPad, as actually having a dialog like to edit an existing shape would be very beneficial on that device vs. the context toolbar).
  17. Hi All - as was requested in this thread we have now included both 'Section' and 'Page' as available options for Scope in the latest build available today.
  18. Hi - pleased to say we have now added OCIO v2 support in the latest beta (2.2). We'd really appreciate if you wanted to try it in the beta (sign up to beta program here), but if not this means it won't be too long before it's made available in the release version.

  22. Thanks - having some form of global custom variables is a good idea. We actually achieve this type of functionality with some of our own internal documentation here but using a single row data merge source with n custom fields which any number of documents can link to. With 'preview with record' set to Y (obviously in this case record 1) then no requirement to Generate to get result. It works quite nicely for us you automatically get the pre-flight check when the global data source has been changed and in control if you choose to update your current document from it.
  23. Hi All, We have just begun rolling out a new beta build - version number 2.2.0.1931 - which should become available to you on auto-update over the next hour Three new features are included in this build: Object creation data entry Move tool data entry OCIO v2 support added And some other feature improvements which are worth drawing your attention to: Find and Replace now includes the additional scope options of 'Section" and 'Page' 'Hide Effects" and "Greyscale' view mode options are now available as optional toolbar buttons. Additionally these view modes (as well as all other Designer view mode options previously only available in Designer) have now been added to Publisher. You can now both insert anchors and link to them from data merge fields. There are also a lot of fixes which have gone in since the last build which will be listed on the bug fix list post . Important: PDF Password feature While this build does include many fixes for PDF password, we have decided to drop this feature from 2.2. The feature is still available in this build, but will be removed in the next one. For that reason we're going to hide the feature thread and ask that no more reports are made on this feature. Apologies if this causes some disappointment, but we feel we need a little more time to solve some of the problems being reported. We certainly anticipate this will be available again at the start of the 2.3 beta and that it can make the 2.3 release. Thanks, Ash
