  1. Same here. Loading (uncompressed) Fuji X-T2 RAW files crashes Affinity Photo, even when I convert the RAW to DNG using Lightroom. I played with the beta for a while and I'm pretty sure I was able to at least load the .DNGs if not the .RAFs themselves. I really like Photo, but in every release there is another little something that has me go back to Photoshop. Please fix this so I can get a step closer to bannig Adobe software from my computer.
  2. Hard to believe that something basic like that is missing, but thanks for the info. The workaround has to do then.
  3. Where do I set the Backgound Color that is used, when "Transparent Background" is unchecked? Is it possible to default that to black?
  4. I have made a ZIP with all the files you needed. I used AD1.3.5.16 - RC6 GM, FCPX 10.2.2 (El Capitan 10.11.1) and Photoshop CS6 1.3.5.16 - RC6 GM https://www.dropbox.com/s/qp0zot3a3mpwndc/AD_PSD_FCPX_import.zip?dl=0 Again the PS CS6 resaved file opens correctly in FCPX.
  5. Hi! I have read in the release notes that AD's PDF exports now should be more compatible with FCPX, so I have tested it. I made a 1920x1080 HD image with three layers: a pixel-layer background, a text-layer and a shape-layer that I converted to curves. When I export a PSD and import that in FCPX I now get layers in FCPX, but I also get strange pixel artifacts as you can see in the image below. When I export the PSD from a 16 Bit AD document ist does import into FCPX as just a solif white image, although Photoshop can open it properly.
  6. When I create a new image in Affinity Photo it always has a white background. Where can I adjust the background color and maybe set the transparency options if the image does not have a background?
  7. There is a cool little program called PopChar that is my go-to solution for finding and using glyphs from fonts across all apps in OSX. http://www.ergonis.com/products/popcharx/
  8. When I import multi-layer .PSD files that have been created with Affinity Photo int Final Cut Pro X, they always get imported "merged" or "flat" unlike .PSD files from Photoshop that are imported as separate layers. I assume this is some kind of export bug, because all I have to do ist open the Affinity PSD in Photoshop (CS6) and save it again, then I have my layers. Fixing this would mean a big deal for me because I want to replace photoshop with Affinity Photo and that's one of the biggies that keep me from doing that. A much smarter thing would be getting Apple to support the Affinity format from inside FCPX or the OS, but that's not very realistic, I assume? Cheers Florian
  9. It would be awesome to have sliders to control text size more interactively in the menu bar as well as in the Character window. I think a slider would be better and more flexible instead of the current drop-down menu with pint sizes. That goes for Affinity Designer as well as Affinity Photo. Love your products — keep up the great work! Florian
  10. I can't find the feature to rotate an image inside the Develop Persona. Can anyone point me in the right direction? cheers Florian
  11. Hi! I have drawn a shape and had the shape "stroked" very thick — see attached file. My question is how do I go about "baking" the stroke to actual geometry. I hope I explained what I meant: Geometry so that it actually has "thikness" and not only a single curve. The reason is taht I have designed a logo that I want to export as a 2D shape to 3D software in oder to extrude and animate it. Thanks for your help — Florian
  12. I'll try adapt to the methods you mentioned. Seems like a good solution. Thanks.
  13. Thanks. A keyboard shortcut is of course a fast way, I'll try and remember it. But something klickable 'd be great too!
  14. PSD is a de-facto standard for layered pixel graphics and is supported in a great many applications (After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Hitfilm...) I am aware that I can export a PSD from AP. It would be great to be able to tell AP that if it SAVES a document that has been opened in the same file format it was before. So a .PSD gets saved as a PSD a JPG as a JPG Give you an example: I open a multi-layered .PSD file that's already within a Final Cut Pro X Library Bundle, because it has been imported there by Final Cut Pro. In Order to make changes I open it in Photoshop, make the changes and save (overwrite) it. When I switch back Final Cut Pro uses the changed image. When I do the same in AP it saves the document in it's own proprietary format. So what I need to do is "export" as a PSD an "overwrite" the old version. Pixelmator has a preference checkbox "Open Document in Pixelmator Format". If it's checked it will behave like AP does now, if unchecked Pixelmator will save over the open file in it's original format. Would love to see that — or make Apple support AP's own file format :-) Keep up the great work — can't wait to buy the finished App!!!
  15. Pleas add a feature to quickly reset the zoom level to 1:1 Pixels, or 100%. In Photoshop it's double-clicking the Loupe icon and thats a good solution, but maybe there is a better way. Goung up to the "inspector-strip" and choosing 100% from the drop-down menu is too much clicks. Keep up the great work! Cheers Florian
  16. I'm a video-guy and as such I quite often make video sized documents, which I have to do by hand as there are no presets. is there a way to add my own presets or better yet built them into Affinity Photo? I'm talking presets like (all RGB) NTSC SD NTSC SD 16:9 anamorphic PAL SD PAL SD 16:9 anamorphic HD720p 1280x720 FullHD 1929x1080 2K UHD 4K I admit that SD resolution might not be relevant today, but for the sake of completeness I'd include them ans well as maybe including guides for the Broadcast-Safe and Title-Safe for each of the formats. cheers Florian
  17. A feature of Photoshop, I use a lot is to create new files from clipboard content. As I want to leave PS behind with Affinity Photo, it would be cool to have this functionality.
