[Menu bar only has file, edit, view, window, and help. ???]

Thanks for the reply. I knew it had to be something simple I was missing.

My trial version of Affinity for Windows has only file, edit, view, window and help in the menu bar.  I am working with raw files, so it opens in Develop, but I can not sharpen, do layers, etc. because they are missing from menu bar. Also no option to open layers over on the right side of the window along with the basic, lens, details, etc. buttons. What's up with that? I'm probably missing something simple, but having several other programs like Photoshop, Topaz, Aftershot Pro 3, Capture N XD, I can not seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance for the help.

 

Sorry this is a repeat, but I thought the title needed clarification

Have downloaded the trial version and am learning Affinity by watching videos, but have ran into a problem. The videos show that moving your mouse to top of window will drop down a bar with tabs such as document, select, layer, arrange, etc. Mine only shows file, edit,view, window, and help.  Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance for the help.
