I've read similar questions to this, but my question refers to blending side by side images together, and/or blending one or more images onto a background (not using blending modes). In other words, blending the edges with the other photo or background
 
For instance in Photoshop, you use the gradient tool (black to transparent) to blend all edges of one photo that you have placed onto another photo to blend the edges seamlessly. 
 
I haven't found a good way to do this with Affinity Photo or Design.
 
Any help would be appreciated.

I agree fully, but it's the only non-manual solution I currently know.
I guess it's better than not having any solution at all.

Save custom workspaces Sync settings between suite apps For example if I save presets and a studio layout in AF DESIGNER I would like to access these same things from Publisher. It's a little annoying to have to setup up every export preset twice. And rearrange all my panels every time a new version launches.

I just purchased Publisher for PC and StudioLink works amazingly good. I wonder - is it planned to have that sort of integration between just Designer and Photo? I have all 3 apps and I know I can go through menu to choose "edit in Photo" or "edit in Designer" but it would be crazy cool if we had that magic icons and could work between Photo and Designer the same way we can inside of Publisher. Is it planned at all?

+1 For this. I was really surprised that saving studio settings is not a feature.

Necroposting this back to life. Please please add this feature. I use dual monitors at work and single at home. Having to reset all my panels at work after I've opened Designer at home is a totally unnecessary hassle.

If possible to save settings, layout, keyboard-shortcut and sync with account would be better ;)

Hope the app can save studio settings.When I do different work I use to make different layout for it.
For example when I do graphic design I just need 5 tools from the studio, but when I do UI design or layout I need other tools from the studio.

I would like to know if there is such an option as "Selection by color or object." I need to change one color in an open project to another :unsure: . Manually it is uncomfortable to do for a long time :( . I very often use these functions in the illustrator. The choice of color and object does not pay due attention in all similar projects, and this function allows you to reduce time and money :wub: .
 
I would very much like this feature to be awarded, or similar to it, for example the filter by color and outline, text and so on.

I was really hoping you guys wouldn't go the same path as adobe and finally give designers one tool to replace both Photoshop and Illustrator. I was really hoping AD would have been this tool. I'm not sure why you're focusing on releasing a publishing software in 2018 when the offline publishing industry goes down every year. It would have made more sense to me to focus on Designer and bring it to a similar level as Sketch because Adobe XD is still way behind and Windows users (like me) don't have a reliable alternative for doing UI design (which everyone does lately). I've tried to do it in AD but having over 20 artboards for a mobile UI design made AD sluggish and at some point almost impossible to work with.
Oh well you have your own strategy and hopefully in time will pay off.
Thank you for doing your best and giving us hope but right now I still can't give up the damn adobe beast and I'm using AD just for personal projects.

Hi there... I don't have Affinity Photo since I don't need it. Is this tool too much to ask from Designer? After we already have a Pixel persona and the free transform tool would fit right in.
