Hello R C-R, Thanks for the idea… I tried that sequence, and it does not fix the issue. It's funny, but I found and read through the link that you sent, just this afternoon! I may have missed something, but I don't think I found a definitive answer in that article either. I guess I'll see if anyone else chimes in on this as well. Thanks again!

Hello, I use the Affinity Photo Extension inside of the Mac Photos app. Here is the workflow… 1) I do some basic edits on an image in the Photos app 2) Then I'll open the image inside of Affinity Photo using the "extension" inside of Mac Photos app. (Note: this is where the problem appears, i.e., the edits that I made to the image in Photos don't appear in Affinity Photo) 3) There, I perform more of the heavy-duty editing chores. 4) Finally, I save the image in Affinity, close it, and then go back to the Mac Photos app and save it there. The problem is that, as noted above, the edits that I first made in Mac Photos don't appear when I open that image via the extension in Affinity Photo. I've attached a screenshot that just shows step #2 listed above. Can anyone help me solve this issue, as it would otherwise be a deluxe workflow for my purposes. Thanks!

I'm using Affinity Photo v1.6.6 and I am still having this problem. When I export a document from Pixelmator as a PhotoShop file, then attempt to open it using Photo, I get the "Bad text data" alert and the Text layers don't come across as Text layers, but bitmapped layers. I do have the preferences set to import PSD text as text rather than bitmap. I'm using v3.7 of Pixelmator. I've attached a very simple Pixelmator-to-PhotoShop .psd file for your examination. Thank you for your assistance with this issue, as I'm trying to convert my old Pixelmator documents over to Photo. Untitled.psd
