Jerryfn got a reaction from light in Size options / presets in Export Persona, and Export
In Affinity Photo It would be nice to have an option to export to a particular size. (That could be saved as a preset, and set as a default)
In particular an enriched drop down on the Export menu with a range of popular or custom sizes.
I export to G+ photos and would like to keep below the 2048px limit.
I am sure others have their favourite sizes.

Many thanks, so far loving it all.

Hmm... it would be nice to see a quick compare!   especially using the vertical slider.

Jerryfn got a reaction from mond in Bundle adjustments to make a complex 'preset'
In Affinity + photo Is there any way you can bundle multiple adjustments to make a custom preset.

I have a load in Aperture, some very particular and useful. A custom preset is great for ensuring a batch has the same look and feel.

Yes this is a very important feature. The Aperture database is excellent. The features of search and all the tagging options are one of the primary reasons why pro users love it.
Now if it's dead in the water, this will provide Serif with an excellent opportunity to profit from the disaffected users. So please make sure that the media management is up to scratch. So far very impressed.

Jerryfn got a reaction from A_B_C in Affinity Photo;- add the name of the tool to the tool options.
On the top menu bar, on the left where you have options for the tools it would be very handy to have a picture of the tool and also its's name. It would be a great reminder and double check for your actions.

Talking about far exceeding expectations in a Beta!

I just bought a Nikon D7200 (available just Mar 20), and of course, no one except Nikon had support for NEFs (RAW files). Not Adobe in LR5 nor Photoshop. So I thought just for the hell of it I would just try Affinity Photo Beta to read D7200 NEFs.

WoW! The Beta read in the files, and I’ve been able to use the Develop Persona to process the NEFs into Affinity files and Tiffs (I’m sure the other file types will work, with the changes incorporated into the files). I was able to import LR5 the Affinity-processed TIFF file into Adobe LR5. Can you imagine what Affinity can do, being so far ahead of Adobe…in Affinity’s Beta? Affinity’s quick, nimble and more than satisfying our high expectations.

FWIW, you need to know that the D7200 NEFs start their process at near RAW (no Nikon coloring); I guess that would be their FLAT mode. But that’s how I want my RAW files to be, with most information packed into file, for later processing. And this finding applies to the Beta I just uploaded, 1.1.2.24216.

In another post I will have some ideas for consideration in providing “filters” for the NEF RAW files (as well as Canon’s RAW files) that would incorporate Picture Control (Nikon—or Canon/Sony’s—similar coloring) options.

    Thanks again, Affinity team.

Matt, thanks for the quick reply! I appreciate the hierarchy of bugs to squash... As an FYI, in fact Aperture and iPhoto both allow multiple Libraries without hacking; in Aperture there is a command to switch the current Library right from the File menu, not only the in Preferences...

Man, if you guys haven't got a copy of Aperture in your labs, I recommend getting one for research purposes before Apple pulls it... There is a wealth of UI, tools, and workflow features in there to be inspired by...
