  1. Powerful recent PC, constant random crashes on WIndows11 within 30 minutes usage, and when I add ANY adjustment in layers, and double-click it to change its parameters, the dialog is displayed BEHIND the image each time, so I have to move the image aside and click the adjustment to bring it on top.
  2. I see the same issue with a snapshot freeware i've been using reliably forever (prtscr) Worked flawlessly for all affinity photo 1.x version It pastes... nothing (on initial V2 or newer v2.1.0) :( Solved the issue by uninstalling prtscr and opting for greenshot screen capture freeware.
  3. Unless I drink too much kool-aid: An image opened in Affinity, selected in part or entirely, then copied to another image, should not be considered as a changed image, and therefore should be closed when clicking the "X" without having to click on any other UI dialogs.
  4. Hey there, I posted this to signal there are issues with V2 I appreciate you trying to help supporting me and my little V2 issues. Seriously, thank you. That said, yes, I agree, I surely trigger crashes by doin certain actions and using certain tools: thats what I bought photo V2 for. I know that usually nowadays the mainstream misconception is that you gotta start working for free, for hours, as a debug quality control employee, providing reports and describing the exact condition into which the product failed and crashed, so that the coders who created the product may correct the situation without spending a dime into quality testing the said code but yah, nope. Truth is I dont give a F that much, after posting my initial rant, I spent the rest of my evening on my reinstalled V1.10.xx and had NO problems whatsoever, which is the extent of effort ill give to thoses issues. My contribution stops at signaling there are issues with V2 in that ungracious way, "that" helped me getting rid of the frustration of paying for a broken beta version. And that was "free" at no charge, my pleasure (hahaha) I doubt they do, but if someone at Serif reads this, at least they can act now and fix the bugs. Best of luck if you use V2 and you dont have any V1 licence
  5. Rare crashes (if any for weeks, seriously) on last most recent affinity photo v1.x for quite a few years on my old trusted Windows 7 pro, with 2 xeons, and 16 gigs of RAM... Now I get this Brand new Windows 11 OS, 128GB Ram, I9 CPU, Plenty of SSD, and a 3080Ti. 6000$ friggin box PC, shoouldnt I be able to edit... 2D pixels? What convinced me to upgrade to V2 was that since I moved to Windows 11 with the lasy V1, that last most recent V1.x started crashing a little more... Now I've upgraded to V2.0.0 Crash after a min. Restart. Crash after 3 minutes. In performance, disabling hardware acceleration, or enabling it, using ANY retina Rendering mode, ANY renderer, ANY view quality, low or high RAm usage limit Disk usage warning updated graphic card drivers blaaaaah blah blah: Random VERY frequent crash & quit. Affinity photo has not lasted even half an hour this entire week. Nothing else, and I mean NOTHING has crashed on this PC since I got it, and I do web, video edition, 3D in realtime and renders!!! I crash every 1 to 5 minutes or so, how can I work like this ?? This is insane! I'm going to reinstall my last newest V1, and wait for the next V2 update before event starting V2 again. One last thing: I read a few people complaining about the price, I've got the full cross platform licence, and I think its a VERY great price, but jesus, so many crashes...
  6. OH I to-ta-lly second that! I often work on a serie of images at the same time, and going through the EXPORT process individually is quite tedious!
  7. Aphoto after splash keeps warning about new update despite already updated it pc (win) v 1.10.3 ;)
  8. Adding to this, bottom line is no matter what dev says, replies, cites, or explains over and over, I can't find one post or comment online praising Affinity Photo alpha channel related features or workflow. I however, as many other experienced AND HOBBYIST graphic artists, each time trumped or frustrated when in need of an alpha channel in AP, can easely find writings about users not liking it, and worse, STILL not understand it any better. just like me, as I just did. Once again.
  9. +1 here - Yes, a proper vector Eraser and vector cutting tools are severely needed. also - trace bitmap to vector, obviously - an optimize slider to reduce the number of points in a vector shape - a lasso selection tool to select nodes in a vector shape... a sole box/rectangle selection tool is SO 1985 !!!!!
  10. + 1 here for tracing. come on autotrace has been around forever, inkscape and lots of comparable software do it!
  11. well... I must be the dummest artist on earth, because after reading here and trying for 15 minutes to follow the many varied directive here I'm still unable to paste a damn greyscale sketch Just cleaned a greyscale sketch on white background, and cant generate a damn transparent png where the white becomes transparent. Yes Ive used PS for 15 years, and yes I've only been using AF for a few months now, but I fail to understand the process... Finally got it. Pfeew. - Apply "Layer /Rasterize to mask" on my greyscale "on white " sketch layer - create a layer under it which is filled with the color that will be displayed - export as png Still happy about switching from PS to AF but theses Irritating and frustrating blockings are tiresome.
