Thank you however I can't seem to see an add layer icon. It goes: Edit all layers, Mask layer, Adjustments, Layer effects, Group, Add pixel and trash.

I am trying to make a neat cut out of this circular painting. The painting is not quite a perfect circle. Is there a way to tweak an elliptical marquee selection and put the painting onto a white or transparent layer? Thank you, Matthew

Halo after cut out using selection brush

I wonder if anyone can assist. I am cutting out some head and shoulder portraits in order to change background colour. I use the selection brush and then refine and export as a mask. Immediately before I export the cut out looks perfect, very neat. After export however I get a slight halo around the edge of the cut out. How can I prevent this? Unless I'm mistaken I haven't had this issue with previous versions of Affinity photo. I attach a couple of before and after screen shots showing the halo after export. Thank you, Matthew

Blemish removal tool not working

Thanks everyone. I opened a second file and it worked fine. I noticed though that when I opened the second file the layer was selected and highlighted in blue on the layers panel. I went back to the first file and it wasn't selected like that by default. I clicked once, highlighted the layer in blue and all good. Many thanks. -

Thanks but it's still not working. It's as though theres an empty layer above the layer I'm working on. Nothing works at all. Can you suggest anything? Thanks. -
Hi there, I'm trying to do some very simple blemish removal on a portrait photo. I just have one layer (background) and am trying to use Blemish Removal tool but it will not work at all. Is there something I need to do to switch this on? Same issue with Healing Brush. Many thanks, Matthew

Hi, I am trying to export a jpeg version of a file I have been working on. There doesn't seem to be a simple way of exporting the file at its actual pixel dimensions. Rather I have to manually enter the file size in pixels which seems a faff. I'm sure with earlier versions of the beta I could simply leave the pixel size fields blank and it would export at native size? Many thanks.
