  1. I am still having this issue in Affinity Publisher when I try to draw in the Photo Persona. Please help. AfPublisher v.2.1.1 Thanks! 2023-09-04 12-31-21.mp4
  2. This has been fixed for me. I would recommend upgrading to V2 if you're still using V1. Though I've been using Clip Studio Paint recently for most of my work (CSP has a better brush engine that is lightyears ahead of Affinity), V2 seems to be quite stable now for the projects I do use it for.
  3. HUGE lag when attempting to draw in Photo persona in Affinity Publisher V2. 2023-05-11 06-43-36.mp4
  4. Sure thing! Here are the screenshots. One is an ASUS ProARt display, and the other is a WACOM Cintiq Pro 24" drawing tablet.
  5. Looks like Metal is enabled. I am on a dual monitor set up using a WACOM Cintiq as my second monitor. I've attached a few videos and a screenshot with more strangeness. When I open Publisher it opens on my second monitor (Cintiq), and the new document screen opens on my computer monitor. When this happens and I create a new document, the glitches show up. However, if I drag the new document screen to my second screen and then create a new document, the glitch doesn't show up as bad. But when I resize the window, you can see in the video that the white background moves off the grid. 2023-02-18 11-12-36.mp4 2023-02-18 11-09-32.mp4
  6. The title pretty much sums it up. I open a new document and the background looks as if it is set in one small portion of the document. When I move the pages up and down it's as if the pages are transparent until they move over the space on the screen where the white is. See the video attached. When I switched to full-screen mode, all the pages became white with no glitch. Specs: Mac OS Ventura 3.1 Publisher v 2.0.4 2023-02-18 08-10-02.mp4
  7. @stokerg, yes I'm still having this issue. I was just coming back on here to see if anyone else was having the same trouble. Still going on. The Photo persona is completely useless to me right now.
  8. Greetings! Today I opened up a file in Publisher and wanted to make some illustration changes using the Photo Persona. The moment I began drawing with the brush, I noticed the lag issue. My brush strokes don't show up until a moment after I lift my brush from the Cintiq. Anyone else having this issue? I'm going to switch over to Affinity Photo to make these illustration changes for now. Publisher v. 2.0.3 Mac OS Ventura 13.1 2023-01-16 10-38-04.mp4
  9. There is a HUGE cursor issue with V2 if yo use the brush tool for drawing. No matter what brush you use, the moment you click the artboard with the brush tool and then release your mouse or stylus the circle reverts back to the Arrow cursor. I'm working specifically with Mac so I don't know if it does this on Windows.
  10. I created a post about this as well. I haven't had this issue with V1 but it happens all the time in V2. Whatever paint tool I select, when I press and release on the artboard it reverts back to the arrow cursor. This only happens in V2 for me. - Mac Studio OS Ventura 13.0.1 - Affinity Photo V2 2.0.0 - Affinity Designer V2 2.0.0 - Affinity Publisher V2 2.0.0
  11. Yes, and it happens in both Photo V2 and Designer V2 as well as Publisher V2. I looked at the preferences to see if there was a toggle, but there is nothing. It really throws me off when it switches to the arrow icon and destroys the feel/flow of drawing. Affinity Photo/Designer V1 both do not have this issue, and drawing is a smooth experience in both of those programs. Anyone at Affinity know if this will be addressed in the next update? Seems like something that was simply overlooked. It's a small detail, but it makes an enormous difference for artists using your software. Personally, I use the brush tool to draw 8-10 hours per day and this specific issue causes a mental pause each time it happens, and takes me out of the mindset of drawing and into the mindset of, "how do I fix this?" It's at the point I've been choosing to work in Clip Studio Paint rather than Affinity until this issue is resolved because it's so distracting to me and my workflow.
  12. Anyone else having this issue? Whenever my pen lifts from the Cintiq the cursor turns into an arrow instead of the brush circle. It throws me off every time and kinda slows things down.
  13. When using the brush tool my cursor keeps turning into an arrow on top of the brush shape. I would like it to only be the brush shape. Is this a bug? Or is there a way to switch this off? Tools using: - Cintiq Pro 24 - Mac Studio - Affinity Photo V2.0.0 Thanks! Paul 2022-11-21 10-13-54.mp4
  14. Just wanted to bump this topic to say there's still interest in Publisher on iPad Yes, I can open publisher files in AfPhoto, but it saves the files differently and everything is out of place when I re-open them in Publisher on desktop. Please hurry on that overdue iPad version! Sincerely, A committed Affinity evangelist
  15. The "Force Pixel" alignment button was certainly the fix for me, but it's good to know there is also a preset for Pixel Work in the menu. Also, the comments about just using vector instead were super unhelpful. Thanks!
  16. Anyone know why my cursor is never correct when I choose the lasso tool? See video attached. I select the lasso tool, but the cursor is the white hand. When I press control to add more lasso strokes, the cursor turns into the plus sign with four arrows. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 17. Is 2020 still the expected date for the iPad version of Publisher?
  18. Attached are a few photos from Publisher, and one photo from Affinity Photo. The two that say "ON," "OFF" were done in Publisher under the Photo Persona. I used the lasso tool do draw a circle and then filled it in with the paint bucket tool. "ON" means, the lasso tool was used with anti-aliasing turned on, and "OFF" is with it turned off. As you can see both ways delivered the same results. Also included is a comparison between the stand-alone Affinity Photo program and Affinity Publisher - Photo Persona. I turned off anti-aliasing in Afphoto and got a really nice jagged edge with no extras around the edges. I then copied and pasted that image into Publisher and got downgraded results with artifacts all over the edge of the drawing. Is there a fix for this so that I can have solid jagged edges in Publisher? Thanks, Paul
  19. I've been having this weird issue when my screen is maximized. I try to move my layers up and down, but when I do they only form sub layers. If I don't have my window maximized the problem goes away. I've attached a video of this occurance. 2020-05-20_09-59-59.mp4
  20. I'm in conversation with Wacom. They seem to think this is a driver issue. It happens not only with Affinity Photo and Deisgner, but also when I use Clip Studio Paint.
