  1. Thanks for the reply. Hmm..Ok, I swear I saw a 1.6.5 download. I guess that's for Windows only?
  2. Hi. I purchased Affinity Designer via the App Store, and I've been trying to update with no luck. I even tried to login to get support and it told me there was no account with my email. How do I update the software that I purchased? My version is too far behind (1.6.1) and not reliable. Please help. Thank you, Rick
  3. Thanks MEB! I appreciate the heads up. I've also seen a bug where I copy an object, paste it, and the original shifts positions. Do you know if that is a known issue as well?
  4. Thanks for the reply. I'll keep that in mind next time. I've already taken it in to Illustrator to tighten it up. I was too worried about what else it could be doing that I am not noticing yet. It really sucks that you have to take these extra steps just to get the outcome you need with A.D.. I like the program a lot, but get really annoyed with all the work arounds. I wish they would lay off their other ventures and focus on fixing issues that should have been tested in the first place. Have you heard if they are working on this, or if they are continuing to improve the program?
  5. Hi there, I just wanted to let the team know that the Expand Stroke option needs some work—especially with curves. I've had multiple instances where A.D. gets this wrong and ends up giving me a shape that is not exact, and in some cases it looks really terrible. Below is one example—although not the most extreme case. This may look like nit-picking, but when Illustrator can get it spot on and when detail matters, this is an issue that will stop me from using the program. Thanks for your time, and have a nice day. P.S. Try Expanding the stroke of a circle. It's bad. I know there is a donut tool, but it's still an issue.
  6. BOOM! Solved. Thanks so much! "You da best man. You did it!" - Eli Porter
  7. Thanks for the suggestion, but it seems that the issue still remains a mystery. EDIT: Also, it doesn't seem to be showing up in exporting, but it's still pretty distracting…at least to me.
  8. Hello, I am on my second day of AD and I'm enjoying it, but I have seem to run into a problem that is really bugging me. I have a vector object (red circle) on a layer with another layer nestled under it that is being used for brushes (white) in Pixel Persona so that the brushes are constrained to that object (red circle) only, and all this is on a white background. There seems to be an issue of the brushes not fully coloring the edges of the red object. You can see a thin red line at the outer perimeter of the red object. It's visible at all distances of zoom. There is also no stroke on the object. I've included screenshots of the thin line issue and how the layers are setup. How do I get rid of this? Is this common? Any ideas on a fix that isn't a janky work around? I'd like to be able to constrain the brushes to a specific object without having the unsightly edge. Thanks for your time, Rick
