  1. @Callum Shortly after my last post I tried uninstalling everything Affinity I could find, again, using MS Uninstaller, re-downloaded, and there is zero response when I try to start the prog - absolutely nothing happens. Here is a copy of the file contents. All my other apps, except Fanalab and Fanatec Tools, including other photo apps, an d all my Steam Sim Racing files, work as expected. Can anyone see/tell me if anything is missing please? This is everything that downloaded from your page. 2. Might you have a setting "on" for your display to reduce Blue-light; not noticeable in normal use, except for warming the image, but much more obvious in Grey scale?
  3. Cheers Walt'; methinks you are right. I feel if I get just one problem fixed it may lead to clues for other fixes. 😎
  4. Thank you, Henry. The first thing I tried after the crash was a Restore Point - only to find I had none. Despite going through the process at several points in time, they either had not worked, or the crash had erased/lost them. I'll sure try Bleeping Computer if I don't get the problems resolved here. 😎
  5. Hey Callum. I thought I had tried that tool before, but no harm giving it another go as I have made some improvements since then, but no; I have not been able to run any Trouble-shooters since the crash. Thank you again though.
  6. I used the .exe file to start n case the shortcut was part of the problem They usually just open for me. I'll try using the Microsoft Uninstaller. Another problem I have, and I've tried following several fixer videos, is Trouble-shooter and Powershell have stopped working. Thanks again Walt.
  7. When I use Apps and Features I get the following message :-
  8. When I double tap the shortcut or the .exe file for AP1 I get an option to either uninstall or repair. I then select repair. and I end up with the first pic below. When I click for more info it takes me to the AP FAQ page you refer to. see pic 2. What do you make of the log? According to that the .msi file is not missing, but there are several fails/False in a row after that (see my 1st post). When I do a search for the file it is not found on either drive. Re the FAQ, I've checked everything, but I don't know how to do this - "Make sure you have the correct permissions to add/modify or remove folders within C:\Program Files\" My problems began after a crash following a Windows Update. FYI - I have no training in computing, just what I have learned over the past ten years when needed. I also had a virus which I only got rid of after a 4th or 5th pass with Malwarebytes a couple of days ago. Apparently it could alter files but keep the original name. I use Revo Uninstaller and I usually do a left-over scan, but I've never found it to cause any problems before, and I've used it for about 4 years on this PC. 9. Thanks Walt. I've restarted Windows many times, run file checkers several times, deleted AP1 and re-installed 4 times now. Error message says a .msi file is missing. Does this make any sense to you? I'm having a similar problem with 2 other progs, namely Fanatec Wheel Tester and Fanalab. !5 mins ago I downloaded AP2 from the Microsoft Store, and it just flashes and absolutely nothing else; I can't find the file in my usual folder either. Puzzled and frustrated I am.
  10. Help please. I've run two virus scans - clear. I've re-downloaded several times after uninstalling the program and when I try to install I get an option to repair which always results in a fail. 11. Amazing, Stuart. That is some body of work you have produced. I followed most of your links - the lady artist, from Poland, Agata Karelus really impresses. The video link will not work for me. Yes, the past few days have been a real eye-opener for me regarding brushes. Clouds, flames, smoke, light flares, neon, vegetation, ground surfaces, - wow - I will now be looking at scenes and situations with an extended eye, having all these brushes in mind. Thank you very much for sharing your work and your knowledge - Top Man. Tom.
