You can also make a duplicate by selecting your artboard and pressing CMD-J.

To enable the Artboard-tool click the little triangke of the selection tool: choose format and hit "Insert Artboard" or if you need a copy with contanet hold alt-key down while click&drag from the former Artboard title.

... and all it "costs" is joining an email list and liking the FB page. The page is: https://creativemarket.com

I've joined it a few weeks ago and there's usually one or two good downloads a week. This week there's some good textures. Previous weeks had watercolor tiling patterns that were quite nice.

And for the items that are for sale, the prices are pretty resonable (at least for me).

Forgot to mention, this is on a wall display that you can walk up to, so yes it does need to be sharp.

Matt, I will resend the file with the mail drop.

I think the best thing you could do would just be to email a copy of the file to support@seriflabs.com and we can tell you where the problem is... If it is forced to rasterise then you're going to end up with a 279 Megapixel image, which is quite large but I think PDF would still be happy with it so I don't know why you'd be getting a problem without actually seeing the file in question.

You can obviously try reducing the DPI to 150 and that would generate a quarter of the data and might make the PDF happier? Maybe try to see if that succeeds as a good starting point?

    Thanks,
    Matt

Yes $45.99 is the discounted price in Canada. The normal price will be $57.99.

We set the price band we want to sell at and Apple set the actual prices in each region.

I think a loupe tool is necessary for a pro app. If it was up to me, it would have controls for:

Placement of zoomed image (docked palette, on-image loupe) Cursor tracking or Loupe tracking toggle Level of zoom Size of on screen Loupe Sample area (1x1, 3x3, 5x5, 7x7, 11x11, 17x17, 23x23, 51x51 are some sizes I've found useful in my work)  Temporary color palette automatically stores the last X (UI space permitting) number of sampled colors A way to add sampled colors to Swatches palette

I think you'll want to wait until next week's Designer beta update because I have just this morning completely changed the way all this works! It now follows Apple's guidelines and makes a lot more sense. It takes away the 'retina' checkbox completely and uses points as document units, dpi set as specified by Apple and then also has the physical device's dpi so that you can view at actual size which is the correct physical size of the device. When you see it, I'm hoping that it will just make a lot of sense now :)

    Hello Friends,

I am thinking to launch a website with Affinity Exclusive resources. As a user, will you be helpful to contribute beautiful resources for other users? And it will be an blog type interactive website with resource download link.

    Question to staff :
    - Can I use 'affinity' name as a part of domain?
    - Any suggestions?

Please suggest domain names in comment.

    Thanks,
    Nimit

The best UIs allow the user to do the same thing using multiple avenues... When I'm working with a tablet, I want the UI to cater to that input device, likewise with touchpad, keyboard and mouse... So ideally every UI control can be accessed with any of these input devices and can exploit the strengths of each input method... copy and paste works great for keyboarding, but when I'm on a tablet, the last thing I want to do is reach for the keyboard, that's why modifier + drag and drop is so great for mouse/tablet input...

Unfortunately for Apple's sprouting line of Pro software, once the iPhone goldmine struck, Apple shifted all its brilliance to that platform and left Aperture and FCP to prosumer status and maintenance upgrades for the most part... FCP fared better than Aperture. There is a goldmine to glean from Aperture's UI and Workflow (DAM for creatives, Compare "persona," Lightboxes for layouts, web and book publishing, projects, etc). Apple had to publish Aperture before the copycats at Adobust launched Lightroom (after owning the market with Photoshop) and only supplying the slow, useless Bridge to their customers which is nowhere near what Aperture supplied in functionality. The keyboard equivalents, the loupe, the pioneering use of non-destructive editing, software GPU exploitation, even the UI input fields and more are great time savers and deserve serious consideration from the UI team at Affinity.

Aperture has one of the best Pro level and adaptable UIs around... I'm gonna write a post when I get some time next week and hopefully inspire the Devs to revisit Aperture's innovations... I hope Photos grows up to be Aperture 4.0 someday, or better yet, that Affinity DAM does to Lightroom what APhoto will do to Photoshop...

    Great work guys!

Yes, we also need a master switch to turn FX on and off from the layers palette to compare. Having to open up the layers palette and uncheck all FX is a pain...

OPT+Drag is also consistent with how objects are duplicated on the canvas, and I hope one day in the sidebar.

PS: What do you guys think you achieve by posting +100? There is a Like This button, I think using that is better for everyone; less thread clutter.

I totally agree that there needs to be a better way to copy an fx.  The shift+cmd+V is currently the only way to copy an fx and it copies too many things to be very useful.

There also needs to be a way to turn off and on the visibility of all the fx of a layer at the layer level.  Like PS's shift click on the layer's icon.

JYCREATIVE got a reaction from Paekke in Color Picker with Auto Fill
    Hello Serif,

Not sure if this has already been brought up before, but I have found that when I want to create new shapes within the "scene", it is a few noticeable extra steps to:

    Select new shape
Select Color Picker and drag to desired color
Click on newly eye dropped color to fill

It would be awesome and a time saver (especially if you have many shapes in the scene) if, like Illustrator, you have the option to auto fill selected mesh with eye dropped color instantly.

    Maybe a On/Off option feature?

    Thanks!
    J
