Yahoo, thank you very much David

Hi all, if I have three or four images open at the same time in Affinity Photo, is there an option to scroll through them rather than click each one to view it?
Is there a keyboard shortcut I can use?
Many thanks

Many many thanks indeed, very much appreciate your help

Hi, I go to file, export, JPEG, then size is 1024 on the longest side, preset is high quality, resample is bilinear. Should I change that?
-
Hi all, can you help me please?
I need to save an image to a photographic forum, the limits are 1024 on the longest side and file size of 500kb max.
When I do that, by using the Export function in Affinity, the image is soft. Is there a workflow that I should follow so that I can present a quality image.
It rather puts me off posting images.
Many thanks indeed.

Hi,
I have previously purchased Affinity Photo v1 for Mac and iPad, Affinity Designer v1 and Affinity Publisher v1 for Mac and have now happily paid for Affinity Photo v2 for Mac and iPad, even though I received the fantastic promotion from Serif.
I will pay for each major new version because I believe that people's work must be paid for. Great job, and thanks so much for developing these great products for the Mac and iPad.
Cheers,
David

Hi all, can anybody help?
On the Affinity store there are a set of brushes for sale that can be transformed into a flame effect.
The brushes are by xresch on Deviant art. https://www.deviantart.com/xresch/art/Affinity-Photo-Tutorial-Fast-Fire-Effect-774035785
Can one of you clever guys create a tutorial for us to create the same effect please?
Many thanks indeed.

Many thanks Walt, appreciated. Part of the problem is that I'm sure he uses keyboard shortcuts and of course you can't see those.

Hi all, happy new year to you
I have very recently downloaded the smoke and cloud brush set from the Affinity shop and I'm struggling, can anyone help?
The reason I downloaded them is that the smoke can be coloured to look like flames according to the site adverts. There is a Youtube video link, the trouble is the video that you are linked to is so fast and does not any have commentary so it is extremely difficult to follow. Also Reto, the creator uses keyboard shortcuts and so there are no on screen clues if you know what I mean?
What I am after is a more detailed guide as to how colour the brushes.
On the video he uses the Channel Mixer or Gradient Map but when I try it I have no such luck.
Can anyone help please?

Hi Jak Gunn
Welcome to Affinity Forums
Before resizing, right-click the image/layer and select Rasterise to get rid of the cropped parts (which are just hidden - crop in Affinity Photo is non-destructive), then perform the resize as usual.
Many thanks for the welcome, and thank you for the tip
That works just fine, thank you
-
Another curious thing, my buttons 'Resize' and 'Cancel' are opposite to yours. My Cancel is to the left, and Resize is to the right.
-
Yes I did.
-
Many thanks indeed. That is the procedure I am following, but when I click resize, I just reclaim the part of the image I cropped out? Not a blank canvas?
-
Hi all, an update.
I open my image and then crop to 2.35:1. That works fine. I've saved that crop as a custom ratio.
That is now the correct aspect ratio for the final complete image.
Using the guides in this post, thank you all, I then resize canvas.
When I apply an amount all I manage to achieve is a reclaim of my original image. It does not give me a blank increase that I can fill with black?
What am I doing wrong please?

I found the tutorials on this site very useful to me. Recommended.
Also the help given by forum members has been very helpful
If you need some help, just ask.

Thank you DarkClown. I'll give that a whirl as soon as I can.
