It's a photo processed in AF + Color Efex Pro 4. The white trees are birch trees indeed. The picture was taken in an nature reserve near the port of Antwerp. Patrick

Building in black and white using AP and Silver Efex 2

@shizumiaoki I used a dark stone texture overlay with the darken blend mode. In the new version I played around with the blend range.
