[Do V2 applications remember tool settings?]

One of my biggest gripes with the V1 applications (on macOS) is the fact that they don't remember any tool settings. No matter what tolerance you select for the fill tool in Photo or what corner radius you chose for rounded rectangles in Designer, the next time you start the app – even when you load the same document! –, everything is back to factory defaults. It drives me nuts to this day.

First impression of the V2 applications: This seems to be fixed in Photo (at least for some tools), but not in Designer. Unfortunately, the "What's new" page doesn't mention it at all. So am I imagining things? Or can someone else confirm that this appears to be fixed at least in some parts of Photo, but is still an unresolved issue in Designer? (Haven't checked Publisher yet.)
