Hello, I have a designer friend that is willing to Buy my serif account from me with my V1 softwares. We would change the e-mail and the other credentials from my account to his email and credentials to make the sell. I woluld then use his money and some extra to buy the V2 software, on a new account I would make. My question is if my original email from my v1 software would then be free to resgister a new account for me to buy the V2???? I don't know if this is a breach of terms of service, if it is i am sorry.

And it will NOT be fixed. So go buy V2 right?

I am talking about bugs, features requests and new features will be for V2 and I am ok with it. I just want known bugs and future bugs to be patched for like 4 or 5 more years or until windows 11 don't recieve more updates witch comes first.

Well, I don´t know about you but here in my country $99 is like one month of full time work in minimum wage. I am a freelancer that don't have enough clients to make $200 a month. About 2 years ago I was using pirated Adobe software because I did not have enough to pay their subscription, so I decided to buy the Affinity programs to use legal softwares and support those who make affordable and no subcription based software. I am disappointed, and a little mad as Seriff because they chose to not patch v1 for 15 months, with the foruns full of bug reports just to launch a V2 and no patch uptades for v1. Note that I am not mad about V2 it was expected... but I bought V1 2 years ago thinking that they would support it for a lot longer than they have... In my case it was 2 years. Maybe that is my fault and my reality does not match with the NA and EU and I have to go back to pirated Adobe.

Yeah it is the same, but back in the day the software was tested a lot before seeing the light of day. I have a affinity photo that does not work with my accelerated GPU, want to place a TXT file into my canvas, and display the wrong color codes in the HSL slider... That would not be happening back in the day. So my question remains... WILL V1 be patched for known bugs and new ones to come as my windows updates? IF NOT this "perpetual license" is just bullshit IMO. I just want the programs that I bought to work with no bugs os workarounds... If I want new features I will be happy to pay for them, bu the ones I already payed in V1 I want those to do as they were intended to.

Yeah, it is not a subscription. I am OK with Affinity launching a new version every year or two, I am even OK if they hold new features for new versions. I Just want that the programs and the features my version has does not stop working or become buggy with a lot of workarounds. There are known bugs in V1 that I expected serif to patch today, and that was not the case. It shoud be suported at least for a number of years or until windows 11 receive updates.

Well, if they are not supporting V1 with patches for existing bugs, They are liyng in their statement of using the program forever.... I know that forever is a long time, but I am thinking that the support updates could be done for about 5 years... I am a little sad, because they knew that there are bugs in the programs and they chose to not fix those bugs for a long time, and teasing us that the updte will come... Just to make a new version and essentially make us buy the bug fixes along with some new features that I am fine not having. I am fine with V1, but the bug fixes and support shoud happen for some yars down the line, if that is not the case i will be very disapointed with Serif...

I am ok with this bussiness model... BUT I am happy with V1 and will not buy V2 for now. I am just worried that known issues and potencial new bugs with windows and drivers updates are not coming...

Hello! I am working on a biology teaching book, and it has a lot of images and I have to number the images because they are referenced in the text. My problem is that when one image is deleted or added in the middle of the process my labeling number and caption wise become all wrong and I have to re -do it all over again! So, is there a way co automaticaly label the images by number in a chapter or uinit? An automatic label like "Fig.2.1 - Cell" under the image? thank you for sharing!

Hello great people! This question comes from my lack of knowlege on the technical stuff.... When I used InDesign to make books I had to change the colour profile of all the images to CMYK... InDesign show the color profile of the images in the resource manager if I remeber correctly. In Publisher when creating a new file you can specify the color profile of the document. So my question is: Does Publisher automaticaly change the color profiles of linked images to fit the one selected in the document? or I still have to change the color profile of each separate linked image?
