Is it possible to have the crop tool snap to the edges of pixel layers? Guide lines do, why not crop tool also?

oh by the way, is there any chance to have the custom settings in the cloud? so you sign in with affinity suite and you get all the custom settings on any computer that you log in on.

Have you tried setting one yourself? See attached image.

That is not currently possible. And if there are multiple formats on the clipboard, it is not clear to me how the Affinity applications choose the default format. All you can do, today, is select the shortcut to use for Edit > Paste Special... and then manually select the format from among the listed choices.
Being able to set a preference for the default format to choose, and a shortcut for that, seems like an interesting idea.

I found the fields panel by activating it in "Studio"

You can change the PDF title from the "Fields" studio. Changes you make there will be exported in the PDF.

A few things that nag me that could have a good workflow impact :
Merge selected : Add merge selected to the right click of layers, so adding to merge visible and merge down.
Colour Picker : I want to immediately change the active color of say a font if I drag the colour picker somewhere, instead of having to pick a colour, and than click the colour on the little swatch.

Layer > Convert to Picture Frame
Yes. This is useful. I can place an image, crop it, position it, and if i decide to change it I convert it. Still a slight inconvenience when I decide to change it. Since I have hundreds of images that change all the time it's hard to know which one has a picture frame and which one hasn't when I want to replace it by drag and drop. And I cannot select all the images from all the pages and convert them, I have to do it page by page.
Thanks for the help though, I hope the software developers will take this issue into consideration. 
 
 
 

So here's the problem: I cannot make a clear choice about the position and the size unless I see the actual image. So it's more user-friendly to have the image with the frame at the same time.

If you nest the adjustment layer by dragging it to this position

it will only affect that layer (the parent layer).
Note: The blue highlighter bar is not full width. A full width bar indicates the layer will move below, not nest.

No, you can only change the thickness of the selection going to menu Select ▸ Outline, then filling it with a colour as @coranda described.
There's plans to implement a command to convert a selection to a path (which you can then fill/stroke as a regular shape) but for now there's no way to stroke the selection directly.

I'm interesting in having very basic, static html pages. Something very simple.
I don't think I should have a subscription for WIX or Squarespace or Adobe Muse for a basic page with some text and some images. It's simply not worth it. 
 
And if I do a printed presentation for a client I would like to have the same material in the same order, looking exactly the same, online, static html. 
If, for example, I have 20 pages with text and images and so on, I want them to become 1 static html5 page with the same layout. (without doing the work twice using Muse)
 
And my alternatives are too expensive for such a simple task. I'll try some PDF to HTML converter, or maybe the Ajar plugin...

I'm using Mobirise and I'm surprised how fast and easy the process is. I managed to put together a website with lots of personal content (around 150 images) in just a few days.
And all is just drag and drop. So this might be the future for website building. Much better than the Adobe Muse way of doing it.
