  1. The file in question states: This is an Adobe® Illustrator® File that was saved without PDF Content. VectorStyler did a decent job of opening it, but I haven't found a way to end up with editable text.
  2. I have 1 adobe illustrator file that I need converted to SVG. Could someone with Illustrator do that for me?
  3. There are files in folders I want to access but attempts to file>Open give the permission denied message (even new files saved to those folders).
  4. Affinity 2.2.1 apps only open from the Sonoma 14.1 desktop presumably due to Privacy & Security Files & Folders settings. If a file is elsewhere, "The file could not be opened because permission was denied."
  5. OK. The problem was Dropbox. It needed to be updated to some new Library>CloudStorage folder scheme and was stuck in a file syncing loop unrelated to Affinity or anything I had been doing otherwise.
  6. The real culprit was Dropbox. It had not updated to the new Mac folder scheme (Library>CloudStorage).
  7. Right you are! The fileproviderd process is iCloud evoked. I quit the process in Activity Monitor. Now Affinity is behaving (although fileproviderd still uses high CPU). Thanks for the direction!
  8. Unchecked Enable Metal compute acceleration in Settings to no avail. Cleared everything except deactivate via CTRL sunup to no avail. CPU usage for fileproviderd is 115%
  9. Clearing data does not help. The apps hang on save, save as, and export for about 30 seconds.
  10. All of my Affinity apps have become non responsive when Open, Export, Save, or Save As are chosen. I have tried restart, reset, reinstall, etc. macOS 13.3.1 on M1 iMac
  11. My fix didn't last. How can I bless the computer so that Affinity software will save and export?
  12. One drive was showing up in a different position in the Finder "Locations" list. I changed its USB port and, for now, that's working.
