I second that. In PS its much easier to identify which area is masked or not. The mask icon also covers a part of the icon, which makes it even worse.

Hey, please change the behavior of the Marquee Tool or give us an option to choose. I forced myself to get used to the strange way this tool works, but after 1 year I gave up. Using RMB+LMB for adding selection and not having a shortcut for intersect is very inconvenient. Also its not possible to move the selection and continue changing the size of the selection on the fly (spacebar in PS) Please add the possibility to change this to a more PS-like behavior. Thanks and br.
