  1. Hi, Not sure how to write the title of this question, probably because I'm missing some english knowledge… I'll try to quickly explain: • Create a rectangle shape • Create a star shape (or whatever you prefer) • Place the star into the rectangle • If you move the star around, the rectangle act as a clip and will hide parts of the star What if I want to resize/move my rectangle —without— resizing or moving my star? I've not be able to find a solution yet, except by moving out my star, resizing/moving my rectangle, and putting back the star again, which obviously makes the process not user friendly and inefficient. Thanks for your help.
  2. Thank you MEB for following up. Dave, excellent, I'll test this as soon as possible.
  3. Hi MattP, Ben and MEB, How's the feature going ?
  4. Hi folks, I was going to open my own topic, but I think this one perfectly fits the need. What's already working: • snap a node from shape A to a node of Shape B Here's a feature request: • snap a node from shape A to a curve of Shape B • snap a node from shape A to another node of shape A (Edit: this is working by selecting the "snap to selected curves" on the node tool context menu) • snap a node from shape A to a curve of shape A On the following video, the first 10s are showing what's working today; starting second 11, it's about the missing snapping features. AffinityNodesAndCurvesSnapping.mov As always, thanks for your support!
  5. Don't get me wrong, if you have an endless list of complains with Adobe, I do have mine too. After all, why do you think I'm so enthusiastic with your apps? I know quite enough major Adobe products to hate them much more! Today, thanks to brillant companies like yours and some other that develop very specific and nice apps, we are well served. I perfectly know you are not just copying Photocrap, and that's makes the full difference, so yeah, please never change this. But even if, Adobe code is a pure crap (no need for me to be developer to notice it), some features makes sense. So just keep a close eye on providing them to us. Cheers!
  6. Hi Ben, I fully understand of course. Still, while not being a developper, the layer comps are a powerful for the user, but quite simple on the dev aspect no?: saving a list of what is checked, what isn't at a given moment.
  7. Add my vote on this one too. I really need this feature! (mostly the option+click one for me).
  8. +100 for this feature. Here's a real case example: I'm working for some months now on the design integration of a website. For this, I receive designs from the designer of the customer we are working for. This designer provides me with Photoshop —of course :(— designs that use layer comps. For this single feature missing on Affinity, I need to open back Photocrap. This is a pain. I'm really expecting the time I'll be able to fully remove Adobe softwares from my Mac.
  9. Hi folks, I love the realtime preview of fonts on my text element while hovering the font dropdown. Still, the bounding box of the selected text can be quite obtrusive, specially when dealing with small sizes. This prevent to clearly get an idea of the font look actually displayed. Would be nice to hide the bounding box as you do while picking a color, set a stroke width, etc. for example. Cheers!
  10. +100 I must say the Line Constraints feature is brillant!
  11. Indeed! Such a good thing! It even paste the clipboard content for you. Yeah… that's obvious right? but this was obviously not enough obvious for Adobe team ^^ Thanks guys!
  12. Hey Ben, Any update on this feature? It's a great benefit for people that often have to trace a pixel draw to vector. All the best.
  13. Hi guys, MattP, about your question… you know, the one about sliding on curves… well… of course this would be terrific :D I did not say it specifically because I knew this would comes in mind of such a good team you are all making (eheh) Please keep up the good work!
  14. Hi folks, There is something I've to deal with quite some times: --> Sliding a node to match an intersection (or for another reason), but keeping it along it's path so there is no risk to alter very precise drawings. The fact intersection "snap" between two paths is not supported does not help at all. Else I could simply add a new node at the exact intersection and remove the old "A" (This would be a —great great great— feature and it's a —huge huge huge— need :) To workaround this lack, I've to zoom into my intersection (desired A position), and manually add a new node. Please note that at some point when zooming, adding a node is not possible anymore as the detection of the path fails. Beside the need of fixing this issue (detection for adding a node when in high zoom) + the feature request for snapping at intersections, I would have the following one: This is a screen record of Cinema 4D Cinema4DSlide.mov Applying this concept to 2D path editing would be simply terrific! I hope you'll agree.
  15. Yeah, so that's exactly the point of my original question :) In Illustrator, you ⌥⇧ click a node to achieve this, it's quite handy (again, my example is basic, of course it's easy to workaround…) Could we move this to feature request then?
  16. Here's a quick video, please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Note that when everything is getting selected, this means I've just pressed ⌘A http://cl.ly/0R0z0N3L2A2E
  17. Hey guys, This is not working for me. Looks like it's because I'm only running the Apple Store version then? (non beta) If then, good to know this is now possible. Thanks.
  18. Thanks for passing here Gear maker. Based on the amount of answer, either people don't want to share ^^, either this cannot be done :(
  19. Hey Petar, This is your way of working, not mine :) Pointing out that docked panels are —not— easily reachable is your opinion. The point, in both your message and mine, is that it would be great to get some flexibility to the UI layout.
  20. Hi guys, I would love to be able to do this: Actually, only one docked column on the left + one docked on the right is possible. The rest has to be floating panels, while some people prefers fixed UI elements (reason I really can't get into Pixelmator UI). This trigger another question :) • How about being able to dock elements like "character", "paragraph", "media browser" (this one have been ask already), etc.?
  21. Hi there, Let's say I would like to do this: For the basic of this example: a 100px square that I want to reduce by exactly 10px on every duplicate. (100, 90, 80, 70, 60px, etc.) I've done this manually, it was long enough. Imagine I've to built a texture like this with hundred of them? The actual behavior of the duplicate function is in fact to apply -10% each time, which produce this (100, 90, 81, 72.9, 65.6px, etc. : Am I missing something? Any idea? Thanks your your help.
