@aenimanu Fascinating story! Thank you so much.

@CJRM Thank you so much for providing the link to the Hoefler download. Your font book is an excellent resource. I have hundreds of fonts that could use the treatment. Once I checked the link and downloaded the three available styles, I made my own “font book” master so now I can have a good long look at stuff like “Fajita” or “Herculanum” or “Black Chancery” or “Fifth Century Caps” or . . . . when contemplating something new and rash. Combining this with Typeface has really expanded my horizons!

@R C-R if @LC3User bought Designer from the Affinity store and not the MAS, this is how I reach the .propcol files. The information was provided by @Leigh on October 1, 2019: Finder>Go>Go to Folder then type in: ~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer/user/ In the user file all of the .propcol files will immediately appear. If the user bought Designer from the MAS then your information is spot on.

@Mark Oehlschlager If you haven't looked at this topic you might be interested. My iMac 24" has the specs you are considering and, although I might not be considered as "pushing the Suite apps as hard as possible," I have no trouble at all having all three open at the same time and flipping from one to another. It always comes down to money. There will be people who say that more RAM is vital, and it probably is if one has an unlimited budget. But that Mac Studio apparently "starts" at around $5,000.00. (Edit: wrong. Starts at around $3,600 including a display.) I might add that I am keeping Big Sur and not upgrading to Monterey, as the interface with the Affinity apps is excellent right where I am.

Your English is perfect. And what a lovely term "monumental beech." In the state of Maryland (where I used to live) we had the largest oak tree (the Wye Oak) in the USA which was estimated to be 460 years old before it was destroyed in a severe thunderstorm in 2002. If you Google "Wye Oak" you can read about it. It was indeed Monumental and a terrible loss. I was fortunate to seem it several years before in all its glory.

@pgraficzny Love it! It looks like a beautiful place to live. And is that a 200-year old "monumental beech" tree? It looks gorgeous.

@multis I don't know how it works with Windows, but can you find the option I show below in your Publisher>Preferences>Software Update? Although the screenshot shows "Daily" checked, I actually have mine set to "Never," so I can personally decide whether to update or not. I should add that I purchased all three apps directly from the Affinity store, rather than from MAS. I hope that people who use Windows can come to your rescue regarding getting you back to v. 1.10.4!

Welcome to the Affinity Forums! Do you have the Assets Panel showing? If not, then go to VIEW>STUDIO> and put a check mark beside Assets. Hope this helps. -
@Globe A belated welcome to the Affinity Forums. Have you by any chance two vertical guides on the master page for your Mac document that are in the same position as the dotted lines shown on your page? If you remove those guides from the master page, can you reposition your text frame so that it goes all the way to the right margin and stretches down to the bottom margin? Does that do anything to improve your text spacing? Just a thought.

@Bobby-Alpha When I acquire a brush pack that does not explicitly say that it is either raster or vector, I test install the pack first in Designer. The report will show that "X-number of vector brushes and/or "X number of raster brushes" have been imported. Then I can open the brush pack folder and select only the raster brushes to install in Photo. If I don't want the raster brushes in Designer, it is easy to go to the Pixel Persona and click on the category, then choose Delete Category. (I learned the hard way.🤕
