  1. well it shows checkerboard in the pic I just posted but it is white directly looking at the display..
  2. Yes I ticked the box for transparent background. It is checkerboard in the navigator window but not the main window.
  3. I just tested it to see if it was only happening from the desktop. It does the same thing from the Pictures folder. The same thing happens from my main internal and an external. Has anybody else with a Mac tried it?
  4. No dude it does not write to the image file at all. Unless you save as the same thing and replace it. Before the update I could open the image file with another program. Now it sucks because I can't open the original file on a second display to reference it. I don't want to do something different. I want it the same as it was before the update. No other image editing software locks the image file from being used elsewhere. It's a bug hence the error message.
  5. Since the update, If I have an image loaded in Affinity I can't do anything with that image outside of Affinity. I get that error message if I double click on it to open it with Preview. Before I could do anything I wanted with it. If the file is deleted from the desktop a message popup says "The document file has been moved to the Trash. The document must now be closed" Affinity removes the image when you click OK. Before the update I could delete them and had it no effect on Affinity
  6. The new Mac format shared between iOS and MacOS Photos app.
