Hi guys. I want to take part in help for Affinity Photo. Here is custom make grass brushes and example, that was made by me. If you have any comments or ideas to add/fix them - i will adjust/update them.
Each brush - it is not only one image, but at least 3 different variations of it. So when you draw - it draws in series 1,2,3,1,2,3,....like frames in movies - so the grass texture looks more natural and random.
The brush rotates according to drawing direction/route. If you don't need it - got to brush settings Dynamic/Rotation jitter - and set it to ZERO %
 
2017.12.24 - Version updated to 0.2. See attached pictures for explanations   Also i attach small palette for green hues.
2017.12.18 - They are 4 brushes. First 3 - intensity brushes, and last one - image brush.

Camouflage II
Finally finished the second Camouflage Vector Drawing. 
Completed in Affinity Designer 1.7 with a little help from the 1.8 Beta.
Continued with same theme as Camouflage I but with a completely new set of vector objects.

Just something fun I decided to make while Beta testing Affinity Photo 1.8. Tried creating thinner lineart than what I am used to, which I think came out all right for a first try of experimenting with the new features. Here's a link to my Artstation where I uploaded it as well.

This time i decide to reproduce NEON effect in Affinity Designer. All elements are from vector. Only background is a bitmap. I found interesting thing. My file dimension is 1080px square. And after applying intensive FX - some image areas looks harsh. What i found to solve this issue - during export i enter resolution 3240px square - 3x per side bigger. And then open exported image and downscale it back to 1080 px square as i need. And it looks MUCH better

P.S. I use lanczos separable

Hey, 
 
this is the first time I used an actual image as an example and tried to recreate it in isometric style. You can see the outcome in the video thumbnail. I also embedded the example for comparison.
It was quite challenging, especially the wooden planks. It's the first time I work with gradients and the wood look had me struggle for quite a while. The video shows my full process, including trial and error on the gradients.
I won't consider it "done" yet as there are definitely some things to improve, like the roof where I had no idea what to add as details. I thought about doing the same wooden plank gradients in an interesting pattern but I guess that would be too much.
Overall, it looks more like an asset from an old browsergame. It doesn't have this special isometric art style. I think it's because of the muted colors and too much detail. If I would redo it some day, I would try to use brighter colors (exploring more orang'ey for the wood) and have less small details.
 
What do you think? I would be happy for feedback and some tips.

With the fixes for tablets being out now for the Beta, I can finally sit down and test 1.8. The lines are now finally smooth and pristine even without relying on the Stabilizer feature. Been waiting for this feature for 2-3 years and at last it is here. As an artist, I couldn't be happier right now. Thanks a lot!

Desktop 2019.12.18 - 23.23.23.03.mp4 That said, there is still one serious issue with R click+L click in the Beta right now, which I already reported in this thread on another part of the forums. Once that is fixed I will be one very happy artist this Christmas!

This's 2nd time to post my work here.

You don't have to use Microsoft Word.
There are free alternatives to it and just as good: LibreOffice, OpenOffice and many more.
In fact, affinity can read paragraph and character styles form one of these programs. So that's an extra bonus.
I don't think Affinity will ever want to go in that direction. But hey, who knows.
