    Hi micr0,

I don't believe there is a way to force mirroring on an iPad via cable. You could however use Airplay Mirroring if you could connect an airplay compatible device such as an Apple TV to your projector. This also has the added benefit of untethering you from your projector.

Edit - You can disable "Present on External Displays" in Affinity Photo Settings > General.

Thanks so much, Lee.  Turning off “Present on External Displays” resolved the issue and I can now demo in Affinity!  My students and I thank you. 🙏

  2. I’m an art professor and I use Affinity Photo 2 very frequently in my design courses.  I used to be able to hook up my iPad Pro via hdmi to various projectors for classroom demonstrations.  I’m not exactly sure when, but at some point the app interface stop being displayed when projecting.  It will show the file, but none of the tools or side panels.  It also doesn’t zoom in on the file in the projection when I’m zooming in on the iPad.  This has made it very difficult to use for teaching purposes.  Is there a way to mirror the entire display, including the UI, when projecting?  Thanks for any insight!

  3. Hi, I’m experiencing an issue where every image I “place” into a project is a reduced quality version.  Rasterizing does not improve the quality.  Placing from photos or from icloud produces the same result.  I’m working on an ipad air 2.  Thanks for any help resolving this issue.

the attached image shows the original image as it appears in my Files app, vs the low res version I get after placing into an Affinity project.
