    No, it doesn't work if you want to edit a tiff file, Photo Beta 1.8 doesn't support tiff files, I hope this gets fixed in the next version. If you want to edit in the beta from Capture One (mine is version 20), you have to edit it in psd format, for example

    The reason could be in a change of colour profile when it is opened in Affinity. For example, you could be working in adobeRGB in CaptureOne and when it is opened in Affinity the colour space changes to sRGB. Check the preferences and the Assistant options.

    I think you should use a mask instead of the eraser tool. Painting black on the mask, you hide the layer above, the effect is the same of erasing, but if you paint white on the mask, then you reveal the layer again.

    If you want to work with the RAW image, you have to work directly in the develop persona of AP and then import it in C1 as a new image. You cannot export a raw image from C1, you can export the image as a tiff, psd, jpg... but not a raw. You can make a copy of a raw file but you cannot export a raw file as a raw file in any program, because a raw is only an amount of data which must be interpreted to be visualized as an image, so in must be exported as an image file. The correct way to work with AP and C1 in combination is use the menu "edit in" which opens the image as a tiff in the external editor and when it is done, C1 automatically actualizes it, once it is saved.

    You can edit photos in AP from CaptureOne (version 8 or 9), but what Capture does is export the processed file as a Tiff and open it in AP, as external editor. When you are done with your photo in AP, you save it, but you have to flatten the tiff image, and your image gets updated in your Capture One catalogue. CaptureOne works in the same way with all external editors, you can edit your image in the same way in Photoshop or any other external editor, but always a tiff file, not the raw image, that is not a problem with AP, it is the way Capture One works. I personally think it works very well, because you can develop your image in CaptureOne, which is enough very often, and finish it when you feel necessary in your favorite external editor.

    That is because Apple preview also makes its own interpretation of the raw file. A raw file is just a heap of data which need to be interpreted and converted into a jpg file so that it can be visualized. Even the screen of the camera interprets it and what shows is its jpg version of the raw file.

    Capture One ALWAYS makes auto adjustments to your image, even if you don't do anything. You have to remove them if you want to. The programme detects you camera y applies an ICC profile for you camera and with it the adjustments it considers best for you camera. You can remove them as I said in my previous post, set the curve from auto to linear response and revise the rest of adjustments (focus, noise, and I don't remember which more) which have been adjusted and set them to 0. Then you will get a more neutral image.
