Hi
Can someone help me please?
Just installed Publisher and trying to place DWG files from Autodesk Inventor. All I can see is an empty outline box.
Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks

Sorry, I didn't see the last point but that's what I've done.
Many thanks

Thanks for the reply v_kyr. However, the links only show how to add printer marks to PDF's. Unfortunately, the allocated print service I'm using (for exhibition backdrop 3000mm x 2400mm) only accepts EPS. Have I reached an impasse?

Hi
Could some one please point me in the right direction for placing crop marks. I've set up a 10mm bleed around my Artboards and exporting to EPS.
Many thanks

Hi, I'm designing a backdrop for an exhibition stand made up of four vertical panels (2000 x 800mm).
I want to be able to insert graphics & pics which span more than one panel.
I created four artboards but my graphics only show up on the one they are inserted on.
Can someone explain how to set this up please?
Thanks,
NIgel

Hi
Wondering if anyone can help me please.
I've been creating labels for a Lighthouse label printer which accepts WMF files. Unfortunately, the printer will not accept my files exported in WMF from Designer. However, if I export files from Designer in SVG and then convert them online to WMF using Cloudconvert the files work fine with the printer.
Exported WMF files from Designer do work with other software.
All a bit of a mystery.
I'd be grateful for any ideas about this.
Thanks

I also have need for DXF & DWG file handling as most of my source work comes from Autodesk Inventor.
I still run the old Serif DrawPlus software which supports these (and many more) file formats. Because of this I have not been able to let go of DrawPlus.
I've been waiting a long time for this issue to be tackled and it's my loyalty to Serif which keeps me hanging on. Please guys, do have a look at this!
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to Affinity Designer: The outline of my vector curves and shapes is permanently visible. Please can someone tell me how I turn them off?
I tried searching the forum with no success. Apologies if this has been covered before.
Thanks

Thanks for that Lee although your link took me to someone drawing electronic schematics.
Being a DrawPlus user for many years I started with AD when first launched but as my work incorporates a lot of technical stuff I migrated back and hadn't used AD for some time.
I really hope drawing scale is eventually introduced.
Cheers,
Nigel

I have some work which will incorporate drawing harbour/marina plans and overlaid features accurately to scale from original measurements and imported files. Is there any way of setting up Designer to handle this? Cheers Nigel.

Importing DWG
in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

Hi
Thanks for your reply.
Just been looking at this again and discovered that if I open the native .DWG file in Inventor and then 'Save As' .DWG it can be imported to Affinity in a fully visible and editable state. I don't understand it but it works which is good enough for me. Yet another oddity in the Autodesk universe.
This is brilliant news as I've been waiting for this since the changeover from DrawPlus.
Many thanks again
