The only type of line I can draw is a freehand one. I need to draw straight ones - how can I do this?
Furthermore, I can't see how to select /change a line's thickness - how can I do this too?

Thank you for all the responses.
I am used to DrawPlus 7. The only reason why I downloaded the Affinity trial was to see how easy or otherwise it is to drive.
I have decided it's otherwise. Despite it being much more versatile I find the interface user-hostile.
DrawPlus has been running well on Windows 10 until a day or two ago. Then, presumably after yet another update, I discovered a glitch when re-sizing its window. It wouldn't follow the mouse smoothly, but jumped to it after it had moved a few centimetres. It may get better after another of Microsoft's interventions, but if not I can still use it on my XP machine.
