I think I found the solution to this problem - it is related to BTT (Better Touch Tool), so I tried the setting of the annexed file - Optimize for three finger drag (it was in Default before) and everything worked fine, both BTT and Affinity Photo. Thanks for the help RCR.

Hi, thanks for the reply. No, I don't mean the Layers panel, but every adjustment window, where you have to move the sliders to the desired position. Please check the screenshot below.

Hello, Whenever I move and adjustment in a window and release the mouse, it returns to the previous position, instead of staying where you left it. The only way I found so far of setting an adjustment is by clicking at the adjustment bar. How to make your setting stay where you drag it to with the mouse? Thanks.
