Just wanted to comment and mention I had the same issue today in designer, I constantly am connecting and disconnecting external monitors, never had an issue until i updated to 1.6 had to do a program reset - windows 10 fall creator update, i7 7700HQ, 16GB ram, gtx 1050 ti
