  1. This is from the bold version on the capital 'n' It's certainly not comparable with the regular capital 'n'
  2. Looking at the font in a font editor the font design has errors... This translates to... when a stroke with a mitre join and a mitre of 4 or more is introduced. The bold version of this font is a lot worse to the point of it not being the same font.
  3. With the text layer selected just click on the geometry add button, that will convert to curves and keep the text as one curve.
  4. There is a more direct route and that is to simply click the add button while the text layer is selected, it may lose fill but that's easy enough to add back. Out of curiosity what font is that you are using?
  5. They may have plans for AI but Affinity do not disclose their app development plans/roadmap so it's just guesswork as to what will be in the apps in the future.
  6. I haven't found any. Plugins working are a bit hit and miss although plugin devs are starting to cater for Affinity Photo, I think generative fill is a push too far and until Affinity give programmers the ability to write Affinity oriented plugins I doubt you will see any sort of AI for quite a while.
  7. In Develop Persona, you have an assistant, try changing to "Take No Action".
  8. Simply dragging the top png into an afpub document will also result in the muted magenta, what is the source app you are using?
  9. If you are using Artistic Text tool, just click on Artistic text box and type additional text, the box will expand to accommodate the additional text. Using the Text Frame tool allows you to expand the frame without affecting the text.
  10. lol, can't say I've seen a clean up button in Affinity, I'd go back to bed for a while lol! There is a Clean Up option in Illustrator... ...and Clean Up, cleans up... I hope that's cleaned it up for ya
  11. Create a brush. Draw a small T shape that sits horizontally like this Make sure it has integer numbers for dimensions and size Export the small T shape to a png file and use it as a texture or an image for brush creation Now you can use the vector brush or pen tool to draw your train track.
  12. Found an interesting post with regard to Blender, Agx and Affinity Photo: https://github.com/sobotka/AgX/discussions/10 This is a quote from the last post dated Feb 23, 2023
  13. Draw a complete outline path around the banana and close it Draw shapes for the nose and tail ends and use the shapebuilder to remove the overlap. See how this drawing is constructed. bananLUDWIKEe- edited.afdesign
  14. You're welcome, I might look into this aspect of photography as some of the images are beautiful and I love landscape photography, I also have several of the old nikkor lenses with the red dot.
  15. Another good link that might be transferable with a bit of effort to Affinity Photo: https://kolarivision.com/process-black-white-infrared-photos-pt-1/
  16. While not referencing Affinity directly, I think you might glean a few steps towards processing and developing a workflow that will achieve positive results in Affinity Photo from this link: https://www.photoartfromscience.com/single-post/2018/07/14/longer-wavelength-infrared-photography-using-850nm-filters
  17. Just a note, click on the Box style first, this moves the box to the left instead of the right, then click on No Styles, you should have a correctly functioning text box now.
  18. You have a text style set, with the misbehaving text panel selected, look at the text style panel and select No Style; if you don't see a text style panel go to Window > Text and click on Text Styles to activate the panel into view.
  19. Welcome to the forum @Judy Mills You may have inadvertently saved the text box as a default and also have a text style applied. Save the publisher file with the textbox as is and attach it to your next post so we can work out what you have done
  20. One of the effects lacking in Affinity is the zoom blur, in Photoshop it's part of the radial blur. Another cool blur filter in Photoshop is the Path Blur and I think Josh is using that cool filter to great effect.
  21. The knife tool cuts through a curve (stroke) (the edges of a shape) not the fill.
