  1. Its not an issue, its by design. It's called a none destructive process, so you get what you want but still have the components to do it again should you mess it up or miss something, If you really wanted to you could delete the layers used to create the merged resultant layer.
  2. Its just an indicator that the person is giving good advice or the answer they give resonates with an individual or a group of people on here. So if someone posts a reply to a question or replies to someone else's post and it solves the reason for the post or gives a workaround, or is generally a likeable answer then you would "Like" their reply. This builds a reputation.
  3. Hi Ansori Can you explain in more detail, or upload an screenshot or a file that shows your problem.
  4. File > Close will close the document not the app, CMD+Q quits the app all together, as R C-R says CMD+H hides the app and it will show as a faded icon in the Dock.
  5. Actually legend has it that Alfred used a flat-bottomed stone as the concept for a mouse way back in the BC, it was called an Ug back then and development stalled due to the meteor hit and the flood, he survived both.
  6. Crop the file so the main graphic is centre most with minimal borders, then export as a png file (Whole Document) and use that as it will have the transparency. By the way the resolution isn't super great, if that's going to be printed I doubt it would look it's best blown up on a Tee-Shirt unless its going to be kept quite small, it pixelates a lot at 300% zoom teeshirt cropped.afphoto
  7. If you double click the ArtBoard Layer it will fit it into the view space. The same will happen for objects on the artboards. As far as I am aware there is no Replace text option in AD. if it is a sentence or word that is repeated you could convert it to a symbol and edit the symbol, that would reflect changes over as many Artboards as you want.
  8. Yes I was just playing with the uber symbol and if I rotate say the png image in the centre they all rotate, so the symbol itself isn't detached just the text. If I turn sync off and move the png and then turn sync back on the png doesn't sync, so it's not just text. BUT... Whatever you edit while the sync option is turned off will not sync when the sync option is turned back on but all of the other options will move in sync. So now it's like a partial detachment within the symbol but the symbol as a whole is still attached and in sync with all the other symbols. Putting the objects back in alignment with the rest of the symbols will not recover the sync option for the unsynced objects. The only way to regain that as far as I can work out at the moment is to drag another symbol onto the artboard. You cannot resync a previously unsynced object.
  9. I think I've replicated Franks problem. Turned off Sync Rotated the text from 0º to 15º on Symbol 1 Turned Sync back on Rotated the text back to 0º on the Symbol 1 and none of the text on the other symbols moved. Rotated the text on the other symbols and all of the symbols with the same angled text moved. So, if you edit a Symbol when sync isn't on, it effectively detaches that Symbol from the rest, Realigning the text back to 0º does not effect the sync i.e. it does not attach it because its back to being the same. This is kind of a forced detach.
  10. Okay so maybe it's a font or text issue? What "type' are you using Artistic Text, or Frame text Tool and what font? Have you tried changing the font to a system font or just a different font? What are the parameters of the text? Symbol with all manner of settings: Uber Symbol.afdesign
  11. The only "workaroundish" I can think of is to effectively design the art warped.
  12. I've made a symbol that pretty much has everything you can add to a symbol in AD and the damn thing still continues to sync, I've got adjustment layers, images, shapes, gradients, pencil lines, groups, fx, text and transparency, what the hell am I doing right? Joking aside, Frank can you drop the offending symbol into another Document; firstly to see if you can duplicate and sync and secondly to help GabrielM to help you, I'm sure he would give you their dropbox link so they can take a quick look for you, they delete all files received after they have worked out what's wrong and it doesn't come onto the forum. Sometimes you have to give a little to get a lot. #Advice
  13. With hind-sight one can always "streamline" a process but efficiency was not the reason for the video, the reason for the video was to show how it "could" be done, I'm sure there are quite a few varied ways that are far more efficient than mine but as I was leaving the house so efficiency wasn't a prerequisite.
  14. Morning Alfred, I was showing how you could create the image ecce was trying to achieve, so duplicating the shape prior to a boolean subtract gives you the shape that already fits and saves having to recreate it. This is about SVG's and if you don't get the shapes right they will import into other apps incorrectly. It may be that this shape would work fine but I've found that SVG's are a law unto themselves and the code that goes with them is just messy and open to interpretation by any software app that can import them.
  15. Using the Pie Tool to be Awesome on a sunny Spring morning... Using the Pie tool.mp4
  16. When I do photography I use an App called PhotoPills Its Android and iOS so should be OK for most people. Buying an iOS licence will also get you the iPad version too
  17. I'll dig my trackpad out and see what happens, I just can't work out why when you click rotate left or right it moves it in 15º increments.
  18. Thanks for the heads up re rotation in Develop Persona, I'd looked at the View menu and didn't see those options, too early in the morning and not enough Yorkshire Tea. This is just a bit odd, I don't get this at all, why would you want to rotate an image by 15º
  19. The rotate button is for rotating the Crop Tools Grid not to rotate the image. You need to Cancel whatever you are doing in Develop Persona and it should automatically put you in Pixel Persona, now you can use the Transform Panel to rotate the Image to your desired angle i.e. 90º AntiClockwise. Remember to check if the pixel layer is locked, if it is unlock it
  20. Document: A4 at 300PPI Pixelmator doesn't do text very well, zooming in to the text pixelates it badly, this example is at 200% Even with a smallish text box (700 words) Pixelmator wants to export to a PSD at 69MB The same sized document saved from Photoshop CC is 6.8MB
  21. You might also want to consider some shading to define the shape of the woman because the displace option in Affinity doesn't work quite right at the moment.
