I would have thought the problem lay in the file format or export not necessarily Affinity, unless you can do what you want to do with the SVG back in CorelDraw. I don't have CorelDraw although I loved it when I used Windows, never understood why Corel Dropped Mac it would have been the go to vector app by now. Any chance you could attach the link to the post so we can get a better understanding?

There is a Vignette Live Filter, the only issue is it's not moveable. A more controllable method is to create a Pixel layer above the image to be masked and apply an elliptical gradient in the colours of your choosing so in the case a black edge and white centre, then change the blend mode to Multiply if you want a black edge or and adjust the layer opacity for subtle effects.

It's all in the wording, "Blazing Fast", "Lightning Fast", "Next Gen" What does that actually mean in relation to the last processor, SSD HD or Graphic card? how many nano seconds have I gained so that I can get on with my "RAD", "high energy", "par'tay", "I have a hundred grand a year job and no financial commitments TV AD lifestyle" lol! @Ghaeth wardeh Save yourself some money and time and buy an off the shelf tower and a reasonable Monitor, keyboard and mouse, or better yet get a second-hand iMac 27" anything after 2012 will be good

So PPI is more about density than actual measurements, like a balloon expanding, same number of atoms just further apart, they are the expandable pants of the digital world

Let them compete, but regardless, the quicker a user can successfully edit an image taken with a given lens and/or camera, I would assume, the more popular it would become, the only problem then is how fast the devs of software integrate those profiles, having the latest profiles would give an edge to the software over that of slower competitors.

@Arnaud Mez Yes I'm familiar with Illustrator and the Appearance Panel and it's flexibilities, Something else that Affinity Designer really needs is Offset Paths, you can pseudo do Offset Paths but its still a clumsy way to do it, having said that I've never understood why Illustrator doesn't have a simple way to access Offset Paths. Going back to the Appearance Panel, Affinity does make it hard work having to go back and forth between panels even if they are stacked one one on top of the other, it's still clunky.

This would be great for more concise colour selections from various sources like a webpage. The Multi Select Colour Picker Tool would have a panel that would add a sequence of colour selections, the selections would be undo/redo capable, you would also have the option of adding the selected colours as global colours via an optional check box. What you think, a viable suggestion?

Initially, don't draw the line on the margin the measurements don't show so, move inside the margin and click then move the pen tool you should see the measurements clock up, you can then move the line into position using the Move Tool (V) and then change back to the Pen Tool (P) and continue drawing the corner by clicking on the end node.

Had a go at the tutorial and this is the result. The tutorial teaches you more than just getting the end result, you have to think on the fly and be curious. I think some of the measurements are out, like the wand length and hair dimensions, so you have to adjust to suit (pun intended) Picking colours can be done a few ways, one is to use the finished image from the web to create a palette, or use the colour picker to create a swatch, the former is the easiest, the latter will get you a more concise set of colours but it is slower. It would have been nice to have a downloadable palette, this would have brought into the tutorial how to import swatches, also changing the unit type "mm" to 1 decimal place and the nudge options to 0.1mm and 1mm would also have helped but these are all part of experimenting and learning.

Yes it would be nice to "group" all of the style attributes into a single Panel. You can't do this like Adobe does at the moment but you can create multiple shapes and have them layered in a group to get a similar effect. Again, you can layer and group the same shape and add different fills, then use blend modes to get effects. Maybe show an example of what you mean here?

Help isn't a useful title, especially for people searching for issues, so please be more specific in your titles, secondly, which Operating System are you using and thirdly which Affinity app are you using? ...and finally, try to Create a new Document or open a file
