Of course, but it makes no sense to me to say i want to Export with a 16:9 aspect ratio but I don't care about the image size.
But maybe I'm just confused.
Or maybe I am lol! I think Vop is on the right track for what she wants and i'm sure if she hits a problem she'll come back but it never hurts to ask more questions Walt does it.

I don't understand the question. What does exporting using an aspect ratio rather than a size mean?
Surely it would matter whether the image was:
- 4px x 5px; or
- 4mm x 5mm; or
- 4in x 5in
The desired size of the output is important.
You can have any size image you want and you can crop that image to any ratio you want, so you can have a 10in x 8in image which is 5:4 ratio but what if you wanted to have a 16:9 ratio, obviously you are going to lose some of that 10in x 8in but nevertheless you can still crop and export the subsequent image with a 16:9 ratio.

I can't see any difference between the afpub file and the exported PDF?

Let’s not forget “Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)” which I had the privilege(?) of seeing in 3D.
Awesomely naff and overacted but compelling viewing.

Love the old movies, like "The day the earth stood still (1951)" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043456/ awesome movie.

But that requires you to have the Table panel displayed all the time, as well as the Stroke panel, which takes up space on your desktop. Despite the fact that it then requires performing "one" operation (drawing a line around the cell) in two different places, which is not exactly clear and understandable. And if you needed to set the color as well, you would have to use the Color panel. Or is it okay to adjust the color in several places? 🙂
I'd bring the colour option into the Stroke panel, that would be a useful streamlining don't you think?
Else only have one option active, regardless of which option it is, so if you are editing a table make sure the stroke panel and context menu are disabled, that way the editing is context specific and then there is no confusion else you potentially could be editing the same lines in three separate places, I can't see how that makes for a good workflow.

I think the confusion is having three options to set the stroke style, with the table panel taking priority over the context menu and stroke panel when the table or cell is selected, it just confuses users. It's nice to have options but three points of change is a bit overkill.
Personally, I think it should all be done from the stroke panel

If I click on a column, I can set all of the borders to dashed circles, trying the same with rows gives you a whole world of hurt.

Affinity Publisher v2.0.4 On Mac
- Can set the cell borders to dashed circle using the context menu above the Workspace and from the Stroke Panel but not from the Table Panel
- I cannot set the table borders in their entirety to dashed circle even though the Caps are active and selected, they always remain square.
- The table panel stroke settings appear to be capable of overriding the context menu stroke setting and the stroke panel settings.
All in all looks like a bit of a mess.

The answer is still the same - Stroke panel.
So are you saying use the stroke panel Pšenda lol!

I am on Mac and have v2.0.4 not sure that makes a difference.

You have to set the dash from the context menu for some reason, I'd say this was a bug.

I did this in Affinity Publisher v2, I selected the cell and used the context menu not the Table Panel to set the Cap and it's respective 0 designation.

Thanks for the attention @firstdefence!
You're welcome, glad you got it sorted.

You can save the table formats in the Table Format Panel, you can also save any formatting as a default format in the same panel.

Can you upload the Affinity Designer file and or the SVG?
-
It looks like it will have to be a feature request, you can only load exported/saved meshes.

The file was a bit of a mess, the lions mane needs work as there are some errors with the nodes, you have to zoom in quite a way approx 1500% there are approx 8 glitches that will prevent being able to fill the mane area.

Is this what you are trying to achieve?
No Crashes for me either, had to drop into Affinity Designer to sort a few glitches out.

I think the problem will be all the gradient meshes. Affinity can't handle them because Affinity doesn't have gradient meshes.
I've exported the problem file that won't load in Affinity to various formats including Ai, SVG, PDF etc and they all come out wrong when opened in Affinity Designer.
From Affinity Designer opened as a PDF.

How do I set the aspect ratio instead of using specific dimensions?
