  1. ArtRage is cool and fun to use but Corel Painter is sublime and I'd say it's closer to analogue. It's arsenal of brushes and their configurability are practically limitless.
  2. Welcome to the forum @tanmayswami Cloud storage integration, probably to see how it behaves and whether people use it from Affinity. https://affinity.help/photo2/English.lproj/pages/Media/linkedServices.html
  3. My Sister, did a review of the XP-Pen Artist 22 a while back. https://www.whispersonthewing.com/xp-pen-artist22-drawing-monitor-review/ she waffles a bit but she loves it and uses her XP -Pen a lot more than I use mine.
  4. The status Bar is the small strip at the bottom of the Affinity window that gives hints to extended states, such as, modifier keys that change how the tool you are using behaves. The modifier key hints will change the status of the tool when pressed and held while using the tool, hence "Status Bar".
  5. You have a lot of overlaps on the flowers. Move the nodes so they look like below and the H will divide.
  6. Automatically no, they cannot be "tied" to a margin edge and move as the margin moves, that's akin to responsive web pages where a webpage has containers. There is a panel called constraints which does a similar thing. This may give you some semblance of control but I'm not sure it's exactly what you are looking for but I hope this helps. https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/pages/DesignAids/constraints.html
  7. On a hexagon (6-sided) the side length is half the height so a 10cm x 10cm hexagon has 6 sides with a side length of 5cm each. A pentagon (5-sided) is easy to set with this webpage: https://www.omnicalculator.com/math/pentagon A few assumptions have been made. You have the transform panel in view, you have set the polygon tool to 5 sides, you know about cycling selection boxes, you know to double click in the transform input boxes, you have a good memory and you are wearing clean undies in case you have an accident. Type the Side (a) length you want and pay attention to the Height (h) measurement In Affinity hold down Shift and drag out a pentagon. Press . (fullstop) on the keyboard, this cycles the selection box. (tightens it up) On the transform panel type the Height (h) measurement into the H: input box and press enter To test, measure a side.
  8. Affinity V1 (Initial Purchase) V1.1 (update - Paid for when you bought V1) V1.2 (update - Paid for when you bought V1) V1.2.1 (update - Paid for when you bought V1) V1.4 (update - Paid for when you bought V1) Affinity V2 (Upgrade To Pay For Further Development & Keep The Devs Stocked With Cuke - "It's Heaven in a can" ) V2.0.1 (update - Paid for when you bought V2) V2.0.4 (update - Paid for when you bought V2) V2.1 (update - Paid for when you bought V2)
  9. This is how montserrat is constructed as seen in the Font editor Gylphs At the moment Affinity doesn't support Variable fonts, I have no idea why?
  10. Which Font is it that you are using? I have a font called Figtree that has the same behaviour and I think it's because it is a variable font or it is a static version of a variable font.
  11. Locking to a guide is a definite no, aligning to a guide would have to know which guide was selected so at the moment that's also a no, maybe make a request for align to selected guide. in the meantime why not use margins, these can be set asymmetrically to allow for spine etc and the benefit is you can align to margins.
  12. By max res do you mean Actual size? Actual Size = ⌘ + 8 Pixel Size = ⌘ + 9 Both can be accessed by using View > Zoom >
  13. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, for the future try force quitting before shutting down. How do you do that... So the MicroSD card is now showing as Blank? if so your only option is to try a recovery app.
  14. Using the Node Tool you should be able to click drag on the outside edges to bend them but in all honesty I personally think it would detract from the ethos of the low poly design.
  15. Yes just post a question and I'll see it, other may answer as they are quite a knowledgable bunch.
  16. For anybody dropping in on this post and wanting to know if the ability to change guide colours is in 2.0.4 or in the 2.1.0 beta, I've just checked on the Affinity 2.1.0 development and the ability to change the colour of guides won't be in this release either by what has been commented on: While it didn't answer your question directly @jackamus @v_kyr reply will help others who will ask the same question and search for information. V_kyr posts are mindful of others who may not know what you know and the manual creation of guides to workaround the lack of a colour change feature within the guides manager is a valid option.
  17. You Can't, you can change the columns colour but not a guide.
  18. Unicorn and Lunar do work on objects, to test create a quick shape and apply those styles. Your styles do work in 2.0.4 To apply your styles to a text frame, select the move tool (v) and select the text frame to apply the style, now select the style from the Styles Tab. Bear in mind I'm using Mac Monterey not Windows so there may be differences here. styles applied.afpub
