Hello,
what is the best way to export a 99x210 (single page flyer) three times on one A4 page using publisher?
Currently I use a A4 page with three columns and a symbol that is replicated to all columns.
The drawback is that everything on the page has to be within the symbol. I guess there is a better solution but I cannot find any export setting to export a 99x210 page to print it 3 times on A4.

Hi,
I startet testing Affinity Designer for Icon design.
What I'm really missing it the ability to show a raster and having the shapes snap to that raster.
Is this somewhere hidden or not available?

After working a while with the current release and the latest beta version (1.5.3.62)
I get reproducible high CPU load even when the application is just in background.
The file contains ~50 Icons in resolution 16*16 + 20*20

Hello,
I have some projects with many icons that need some variants for scaled resolution (@1.25x, @1.5x, @1.75)
for pixel perfection I need to create the variants manually and end up in a large list of slices.
It would be very nice in this scenario to be able to sort the slices (currently the slices are sorted in creation order only)
and it would be good to be able to group the slices in folders to have a better overview.

Hi Sean,
I moved the document to a separate window on another screen.
I had this several times with only one window too but not reproducible.
I've attached a screenshot with more details. And created a screen cast (but cannot attach it)
it is 100% reproducible on my machine (Dell Precision 7510, Nvidia Quadro M1000M, Intel HD Graphics 530)

I've got this issue for a while now and I just found out how to reproduce it.
Sometimes the UI of Affinity Designer is not painted correctly (see screenshot).
I have two monitors.
- Start AD on monitor 1
- Create a new empty file (e.g. 500x500px)
- Move the tab to monitor 2
- Move the image around using the middle mouse key
I have this issue also when working with just one monitor and when not detaching a file but this is a safe way to reproduce it.

Hello,
when I draw two rectangles of exactly the same size on exactly the same position,
the rectangle in background is still visible in border area.
This issue only occurs in the ui, the exported file is correct.
I use this when adding placeholders into an image.
I use version [1.5.0.24]

Hello,
I'd really like to see an utility to export slices from an affinity designer file during an automated build process of an application.
I have hundreds of affinity designer files for all of the graphics of my application.
Would it be possible to provide a (headless) tool to export all slices of the files into let's say png files.
I would like to do this during my maven build process so that I just need to trigger a new build after changing some graphics.

Hello the new photo app extensions are nice :) but limited in many ways.
Would it be possible to provide complete round trip to edit a photo in affinity photo by using an extension?
I do not like to export and import the photo and have two versions of the same image but like to have the complete power of affinity photo.

I found an small issue in the current version:
When creating a new raster it was possible to jump from one textbook to another using the tab key, this is not longer possible.
The first press of the tab key disables the current text field and the second shows / hides the UI controls.

slice selection is not possible using the slice selection tool in current beta.
It is only possible using the "create slice" tool and click on an existing slice. Or by selection from the "outline"

cmd + v doesn't work when editing the name of your slices in the export persona. Right click and choosing paste works but is a pain ;)
I noticed this too, it's really pain when working with many slices. Maybe it would be cool to have some kind of prefix name for the slices.
I often use similar slice names like:
- navigation_up
- navigation_down
...

Hello,
first of all thanks for the new aa feature in current beta version. I'm already enjoing it.
I like to draw a crisp arrow at small resolutions but have it nicely rendered at bigger resolutions too.
I tried this using the new aa feature but didn't get it working as I expected.
Can you please have a look at the attached files? Is this possible without tuning the pixels?

thanks for the fast response. I noticed the same issue when drawing the shadow of the "chat icon", just in case that you need another test case.

Thank you Joachim_L and fde101.
I already tried to print multiple pages to one page using "Copies" and the "Layout" section with the MacOS printer dialog.
"Document Layout" with Model "N-up" did the trick!
