    Still no Sigma X3F-Raw support

Hi Chris! first of al - kudus to you for your support and the support at Affinty. It is a very pleasant experience that someone takes care and answers within a really short time!! I took the same picture you used and opened it Sigma Photo Pro 6.6.1 You are right when you say i automode it looks warmer: but when I open it and switch to X3F-mode (on top on the right side) the differnce isn´t that big as when I open it in AP: I cann´t compare it anymore to PS. After I switched to AP, I deinstalled PS4 So I think it is the best way to open these pictures in Sigma Photo Pro, export them as a 16bit-tif-file and than work on it in AP. I see no other way to work on these old files. Thanks for your answer anyway

    Still no Sigma X3F-Raw support

Hi Chris, I did try to change some of the settings in the develop assistant as you mentioned. It makes no difference. I just put some X3F example files in the dropbox so you can convince yourself. Should you need a copy of the original Sigma Photo Pro to compare the RAW results than just use this link: Sigma Photo Pro 6.6.1

    Still no Sigma X3F-Raw support

I will! As soon as I am at home tonight.
  4. As I am already waiting for more than one year I was hoping that with this release I would be able to open my older X3F-Files (made with an Sigma SD15). But .....still not good looking, just compare it yourself: So why do you state in the list of supported cameras that you can work with alle Sigma models? Kind regards Anthony
  5. Hi Darryl, I am convinced that your problem is not the lens but the .ARW file format. On Sigma it is .X3F. I think it is the (not yet completed) raw-devolpment engine in Affinity that is not knowing how to handle the colour embedded colour information i our files. As I already said "Adobe RAW" has no problems at all. I am also using the original Sigma Photo Pro to open my RAW-files and then save them as a .tif file. That´s not the correcht way, but so I can continue my work on the .tif files in Affinity. Hope to hear soon from Affinity that they now support our "exotic file formats" Anthony
  6. Hi Darryl, Is my interpretation correct that you have the same problem but you only use a Sigma lens? I always thougt it was the Sigma file format (X3F). I used the Sigma SD10 and SD15 to shoot my pictures. On what camera do you use the 16mm lens? I reported this problem already a longtime ago (august 2017) when I was testing AP. The answer I got then was: >>Hi Anthony, >>We do certainly support Sigma files but an issue such as this has been reported and logged to be fixed in a future update. Would it be possible to provide me with a copy of the file so I can pass this on to >>the development team? >>Thanks, >>Jack In august I sent in the same files attached to this topic. Untill now nothing has happened. So don´t expect this to be solved soon. Sorry........ Anthony
  7. Hi there. I just wanted to point out that I am still waiting for the native Serif Labs RAW engine to support the Sigma SD15 and Sigma SD 14 and SD10 RAW-X3F files. Although you state at: that these cameras are fully supported I must contradict the information about Sigma posted in this listing. Just take a look at the colorhandling your Serif Labs Raw Engine does and compare them to the "real" colors when I open the files in "PS" or Sigma Photo Pro. So, untill you have solved the X3F-files problem you should better take out all Sigma Cameras from the above quoted listing. Attached some color comparisons: I hope you will manage to solve the RAW-file handling soon. Thanks Anthony

    Affinity Photo Crashes during start

I fixed it !!! Mark you wrote: " Check for third party applications causing problems." By coincedence I found your post in which you state what kind of third party software causes the software to crash. It is still weird to me because the trialversion did run and the official version I bought didn´t but.....I had an older Version of the FastPictureViewer-Codec installed. After deinstallation everything runs fine. I am sorry to have caused you so much work! Thanks for all your quick responses and I hope I have no need to ever contact you once again Thanks --- Anthony

    Affinity Photo Crashes during start

No third party firewall. Just the standard Windows 10 Professional Edition. I just read that other users are also making experiences with this item. So I am going to wait for your reply.

    Affinity Photo Crashes during start

It did :-) I deinstalled it before I installed the version I bought. I manually removed the %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 trial directory and used CCLEANER to clean up my registry so "nothing" of the trialversion would be left on my system.

    Affinity Photo Crashes during start

Hi Mark, although it is Saturday evening, you did answer! Thanks.... I just tried both options. Neither one of them works. I renamed %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0 to %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\2.0 ----> :-) It made no difference And the " --no-hw-ui " option had the same effect. It starts the Crashreport-programm immediately. It is weird because the trial version off Affinity Photo did run. I do not have any gaming software on this system. I am going to wait for your next hint. Have a nice sunday.... Anthony

    Affinity Photo Crashes during start

Hi Mark, I now you're a busy guy and there are more than one problem to solve. No hint until now? It is such a pitty because the trial version used to work and the one I bought refuses to launch.. Is there maybe a deinstaller-programm for the trial or photosoftware that removes al the old hanges made during the trial version? Still hoping to get an answer soon. Have a nice weekend Anthony

  14. Hi out there! I just bought the latest version of Affinity Photo (1.6.0.89) after having tested it as a trial. I deinstalled the trial und installed the 1.6.0.89 version. After installation I now see nothing but I hear a bell, than a window pops up and reports for 2 seconds an unexpected error the Crashwindow is opened and a report is generated. The error reference is d1de331-7480-4e58-8fd3-7b049a8afed2 (I made a quick screenshot) Anyone out here that has an idea how to solve this Thank in advance Anthony
