  1. Hi everyone, apparently in develop persona the white balance only affects the "temperature" value and not the tint, thus it does not give perfectly balanced greys automatically. Am I doing something wrong? is it a bug? or is it a feature? In any of these cases how can I balance the white properly in affinity designer whitout necessarely moving manually the temperature and tint sliders?
  2. Hi everyone, How can I apply an adjustment to a mask destructively in affinity photo (not as an adjustment layer)?? In photoshp there is drop down menu called "image-->adjustments" that contains all the adjustments which can be applyed destructively to any layer or mask, affinity can only apply those effects non destructively, which I would be fine with that if only I could apply those to masks, however because I only found those in form of adjustments layers they can not be applyed to masks unless I detatch the mask apply an adjustment layer to it group it rasterize the group and reapply the mask which is a bit cumbersone. Is there a better whay to apply those kind of adjustments to masks in affinity? Thanks, Ric.
  3. Hi everyone, when I use the gaussian blur filter the edges of the picture become faded and transparent because it blurs the border without preserving the starting alpha, is there something that I'm missing or is it a new bug? in the tutorial it doesn't behave as it does in my version of affinity photo! Thanks RF
  4. Here they are, I know about the zdepth filter of affinity, but its very different from the one I'm referring to. the z-depth filter is only a linear gradient, I'm looking for a way to force the gaussian blur radius to be changed according to the brightness of the pixel of the z depth mask, this way the effect is much more realistic.
  5. Hi everyone I'm wondering if there is a way to make a variable blur effect starting from a gray scale mask where the blur amount changes in relation to the white level of each pixels. I need this funcion to fake a Z-depth effect starting from a Z-depth pass from vray rendering engine which is an image that map the distances of the objects in a 3D scene colouring the closer objects with white and the farther objects with black. in photoshop there is a filter that does this job which is called "lens blur", I saw that filter also in affinity, but I wasn't able to make it works I expected! the video linked below is an example of the funcion I'm looking for made in photoshop:
