  1. Ok what I know now :

1 Spacebar : Does only work on certain tools like while creating a shape (Rectangle, etc...) and creating a Text Frame Tool (and this is not indicated in the status bar). But does not work with other tools like dragging a marquee. Why ? Who knows... Consistency is maybe not in fashion anymore.

2 Shift to add : has been replaced by ctrl+alt , but I don't know since when.

  2. Hello.

    a - Using Affinity Photo 1.9.0.932 after automatic update. Windows 20H2 (19042.746, experiencePack 120.2212.551.0).

b - Having no custom keyboard shortcut, working on a fresh new file.

1 - Problem : The SPACE BAR does not permit to move the selection while selecting (M : Rectangular Marquee Tool and consors).

    - How to reproduce : Open AP, File>New... choose any format (say 800x600). Press M to select the Rectangular selection Marquee tool.  Drag to make a selection ->  WITHOUT releasing the left mouse button, press the space bar to move the location of the selection = > Nothing happens.

    - Workaround : None.

2 - Problem : SHIFT does not permit to ADD a selection.

    - How to reproduce : Open AP, File>New... Choose any format (Say 800x600). Press M to select the Rectangular selection Marquee tool.  Make a selection. Once done (release the mouse), try to ADD another selection by keeping SHIFT pressed. The little "+" does not appear beside the mouse. A contrario, pressing ALT does well permit to remove a part of selection (the little "-" beside the mouse appears).

-Workaround : Set the selection tool to "Add" and not to "New" (Default), then you can add/remove with SHIFT/ALT.

Thank you for reading. If you have any question, don't hesitate. :)

  3. Hi,

I have a shape that is closed and contains a hole. On the picture joined :

    - This shape is a result of a boolean combination of 2 identical shapes slightly shifted.

    - The stroke is red

    - The fill is black.

I want to fill the hole in the center of this shape.

1 - I tried all the boolean operations (including divide) with no success, it doesn't "restore" the 2 original shapes as some vertices have been merged.

2 - I tried removing vertices to restore a "filled" shape,  but it is too hard as some vertices are overlapping other ones (is there a way to "hide" vertices like in Blender ?)

3 - I could redraw a shape on top of the original, but It's too hard because of the complexity of the bezier curves.

4 - I tried to make a square nested in this shape's layer, but it make the square appears only in the "fill" part of this shape (the black part).

How can I fill the center of this shape ?

    Thank you, Cédric.
