Hi there! Thanks for asking, actually I'm working on a tutorial showing the basics and practical applications of image textures and pattern brushes in AD, Which is basically the method I've used for the dancer illustration :) I'll be announcing the release of that tutorial on our Twitter account: @frankentoon please stay tuned! Hello there! I want to share with all this nice community the latest Frankentoon's Franken-Pack: Pattern Painter. Pattern Painter is a cool collection of raster/pixel brushes that can be used either on Designer or Photo... and even cooler, you can use 'em on Photo for iPad :) I've always liked the idea of painting with patterns, even with software that allows to use pattern fills. I don't know, but I love the experimental and 'crafty' feel that is the joy of brushing in seamless shapes on your canvas. You can combine them, change colors on the fly, layer 'em up for some cool effects... If you want to know more, click HERE to get more info... (I've created a super fancy and colorful info page for you guys :D ) Hope you all like this pack!

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Indeed, there's more info in every link. I should probably change the copy of those buttons :) -
Pretty cool Jerol! Love the subtle use of patterns. I notice a lot of improvement in this particular piece of yours. Congrats :)

Hello there! I'm currently working on some brushes for a concept art project and I'm trying to create a 'sequenced' brush. Let me explain: I need a brush for drawing background trees, I've isolated like 4-6 trees to have some variation. I'm loading that images as brush nozzles, but they appear in random order (image below). It's something like: X X O X O X X X O X O X I NEED total control of this sequence, specially for more complex brushes I'm designing (6-8 nozzles). I mean, a straight sequence like this: X O X O X O X O X O X O Would be awesome to have the option for "Random" and "Linear (or something)" brush sequence. Would give MUCH MORE power to this multi-nozzle + texture brush engine :) Hope this makes sense.

Nice job here Jerol! I like the way you've remixed the pack's elements and added new ones. I specially love the monkeys haha. Cheers!

AP iPad - persistent cursor display
Frankentoon Studio replied to wgphoto's topic in Feedback for Affinity Photo V1 on iPad
I strongly second this feature. It's very difficult to do any brush-related work without seeing the cursor. -
Thanks a lot mate! I'm sure you're going to have loads of fun with the pack! :D

Thanks a lot my friend! Yes, that's what I'm trying to do. I've been using Clip Studio for bitmap illustration for 4-5 years, but I really like Affinity's workspace and interface, so I'm using AP and AD more and more for this type of 'painterly' works.- 19 replies

Nope, no special settings, that jittering (I don't know if that term is correct) happens to me all the time. Those sketches have been worked at a very high resolution, so I suppose that when the images went shrunk down, the pictures gained some quality... but if you look at them at 100%, the lines are not smooth at all. That 'blocky' effect on the clean strokes, happens very random and that behavior is beyond my comprehension. Below there's a screenshot that I've just made using the very same brush I used for the poster sketches. I've marked with letters the strokes that came out smoother. As I told you, that 'bug' happens most of the times. I just try go with it. If you want to try this brush, I've attached 2 custom brushes I made for sketching in AD and AP. The brush shown here is the second one. Cheers! Frankentoon - Basic Drawing.afbrushes.zip- 19 replies
