...if you hold Ctrl while moving the nodes it will move the other side's node symmetrically.

Quality work to be certain. Kudos!
Thanks a lot for such kind words!

This goes more under the tab photo-composition
rather than manipulation as I understand it...
Thanks a lot Kodiak! :D
-
Hey guys!
I'll be posting some of my photo-manipulation works in this thread. To get started I'll share this poster I made for a local electronic band. Hope you dig! I'll be uploading all my AP works to my FX Monkey project Twitter account too: @fxmonkey2
As always any comment is welcome!

Great colour palette in here, Frankentoon…
thoughI have a hard time with the "robot"
character of the pose!
Thanks for your comment Kodiak!
Yeah, I agree, her pose looks too stiff perhaps. I'm trying to find a mixture between a modern cartoony look and those ancient byzantine paintings. I'm still trying to decide whether I like it or not :)

Hello guys!
This is Jixie Bubblegum, a quick character I made last night using Designer and my Texturizer Pro brushes. Hope you dig!

Just an update here: I'm working on a small video on how to install the Macros and more important how to edit one after you've applied it to your picture. Every photo is different from each other as to light conditions, type of lens, camera (obviously)... so you'll want to tweak a couple of parameters so the Macro can give you the best results for your particular shot.
I'll let you know here.

Hey guys!
I just wanted to let you know that I've been working on a secret project the past couple of months. It's a website dedicated to offer post-production tools for Affinity Photo, mainly for photo retouchers: color presets, retouch brushes, texture overlays, etc. Also, I've been working on a photo retouch eBook with complementary videos for AP, which probably will be released there when finished...
The site it's finally in pre-release, that means that I'm still working to finish the first assets, but today you can have a (small, small) taste (almost a little bite) of what of what you can expect out of it.
It's a FREE Pack called: FAUX 77
A collection of 8 Macros for AP that emulates the vintage looks of the pictures from the late seventies. You can look at some examples and more details in the link below :)
As with Frankentoon, you just have to give your email, and the download link will be sent to your inbox. You can unsubscribe later if you wish. But if you are interested in the project and want to know more about future releases and free sample packs you can stay :)
This website will be growing as I'm adding content through the next weeks. I would like to know what you think and which kind of tools for AP you'd like to find there.
Cheers!
Enrique

... It is still partially alive in Krita (which is still struggling on OSX...) and some other small projects.
Thank you Paolo :D
It would be nice to have some of Alchemy features on AD, such as random shape generation, X-Y mirroring...
-
Hello hello,
Are you still working on that tutorial? I'm still figuring stuff out (it's hard coming and still using AI for some stuff) so a tutorial on how to properly mask and clip the layer for painting with the brush is very welcome.
Hi!
Yes here's a quick video tutorial I posted a few weeks ago: Painting with textures
As retrograde mentioned, there are a couple more ways to accomplish this technique, those videos he posted are pretty useful too!
-
It almost reminds me of Alchemy!
Thank you! I used Alchemy a lot a few years ago, it's a shame that they just stopped its development.

...I don't have the control to switch off all pixel layers at once doing that though...
Here's a little example. I have all textures in separated groups so I can switch textures on and off at once (clothes, moon, face...)
