Thanks all...I figured it out!

can I change the default "OPEN" and SAVE file locations in  Affinity

[layers]

I used the Place command and it places t he file I selected but only it was enlarged and I couldn't figure how to get it back to normal size

 

Another Problem I'm having is on "selections"  I used the selection brush and it worked good....I tried to copy and paste the selection on to a new layer but all I got was the outline of the selection???

New to Affinity..I want to add 2 maybe 3 photos on there own layer..can't seem to figure it out HELP!!!
